it's small, but it's not the size that counts it's how you post the image. :)

if you have more pics of this angle, please post them. it's one of my favorite angles of any skyline in the world.

Nice pictures, but why isn't this in the Northeastern forum?

That's a great aerial picture, but Philly shouldn't have put a highway on their riverfront, it seems to have blocked lots of access.

Not knocking Philly at all, Hartford has done the same exact thing.

I agree with SNL about that^ view of the skyline. It, along with the view from like Port Richmond & Knesington and the view from SW Philly, is by far my favorite. The east-west views do me no good because the skyline looks much smaller, much less dense, and all teh skyscrapers are pretty muhc piled up along Market and JFK which makes it look like there are very few skyscrapers in Philly. Also, the North view is no good becasue Verizon Tower takes up way too much room and blocks and Mellon Bank, and the Northwest view is awful as of now (will improve after Comcast Center is completed) because Commerce Square is waaayyy too huge, so is Cira Center, and Mellon Bank and both Liberty Place towers are smooshed together while Verizon looks huge. BTW, I have nothing against Verizon tower, it's a great building and all, it's just not a spotlight building like Liberty Place, it's like a background singer in a band while Liberty Place and Mellon Bank are the lead singers.

Anyway, enough of my shannanigans. Basically the three views I mentioned (South, SW, and NE) are the best because they all show Philly's skyline as the densest, tallest, msot consitent, largest, and most Manhatten- or Chicago-like, which is indefinetly a good thing with regard to skylines.

This one really shows off what a great skyline Philly has.
