Which team are you cheering?

In the USA, soccer is not popular. Soccer is ranked below American football, basketball, baseball, and hocky.

Go USA :)

Good luck to Miami Heats. The Miami Heats has a good chance of beating
the Dallas Mavericks.

Here are the three matches against Czech Republic, Italy, and Ghana. If the USA wins two out three, the USA will move into the second-round.

Go USA Go :)

12-Jun-2006 Gelsenkirchen USA:CZE
17-Jun-2006 Kaiserslautern ITA:USA
22-Jun-2006 Nuremberg GHA:USA

I want to be in Germany so badly right now so that I can wear Red, White,
and Blue and cheer for the USA.

Betterfuture, thanks for the schedule on USA games...eventhough I don't have patient to sit in front of the TV to watch soccer, but I may turn it on just to keep track of the scores....:) I of course will cheer for USA but I don't think they will go anywhere..:) I work with a punch of crazy soccer fans in the office here who already went out and bought projectors just to see the world cup on big screens... :bash:

I am betting on Miami...that's why I want them to win, but the Kings is my favorite team..:)

You can wear red, white and blue to cheer for USA here in front of the TV...heheeh. anyway, best of luck to USA eh..:)

With the addition of Ron Artest, the Kings made the playoff this year and battled the Spurs to the end like great warrriors. The Kings took a big risk in acquiring Ron Artest and was rewarded. Good luck to the Kings in the future. I am reminiscing the good old days of the rivalry between the Lakers and the Kings.

Of course, we are still discussing about soccer. It is just that the National Basketball Association (NBA) Championship will begin tonight between the Dallas and Miami. In America, basketball is much more important than soccer.

Which country are you cheering, monsooner:)

Yeah Bang, I was in vn in 94 during the 94 world cup too and at night they went crazy in the neighborhood that no body could sleep. They block the street and brought out a small tv to watch and also beat on those pots and pans

Man, Miami sucked tonight...tooo many quick shootings and missed free throws from Shaq..:( Well I hope they can win game two before heading home...:)

Yes with Artest kings seem to play better on defense and I hope next season, they will improve more on it especially with the new coach. I hope they resign Bonzi Wells too.
About the rivalry...yes that was some good old days...Kings fans still remember that last shot from Horry and all those missed free throws in game 7 back in 2002...:)

I didn't get to watch the game. I was rooting for the Heat in game 1 and almost make a petty bet with my friends. I'm glad I didn't. The Mavericks have gone a long way. It's about time. Shackle Shaq and make him throw free throws, which he sucks at. I guess their strategy worked. I've got to find time to watch game 2.

They played ok until the 4th quarter..Yes I bet with my coworker for lunch..:( The Mavs have good bench player where the Heats bench just came in and tried to take over the game..they need to pass the ball more..well I hope they will get game 2...:) They say, you don't loose the series until you loose on your home court...so let's wait and see...:)

Does anyone in here think that Vietnam in the future will qualify for the World Cup like South Korea and Japan? Does Vietnam have potentials in soccer?

tq
June 12th, 2006, 03:44 PM
no doubt...its just a question of money (investment) and the improvement of the lifestyle...you know...some vn youth soccers get often in the local news in Germany because of their great talent...no longer anymore and you'll find a vn soccers in the Bundesliga^^

Sat_Cong
June 12th, 2006, 05:37 PM
I only know that they are well qualify in setting up the scores in the games for the bookies...) They don't get paid enough as pro sport players that's why they have to find money in that way. Better yet, I heard, next year or so, vn will legalize on sport betting and if those players still don't get paid jack for their roles, then there will be "ban do" somewhere in the future games...Let's hope that won't happen
