Thanks MelliniaL for the towers. My fav ones are Samiriyah Towers and the bitten-circle tower. I don't like the Wall stadium. The rest of the towers are okay (nothing exeptional about them, but they are normal and okay).

has anyone seen the construction site for the tower for Doha Bank? i passed it today in west bay... the render looks great

i saw it today its near the citycenter the citycenter towers are huge gigantic!!!

The firt picture is AL-Muhanna tower with no progress at all in the sight since 1 year, I think the pakistani guy got tired and resigned, since then they didn't find anyone to finish the job :)

The 4th one looks very similar to Dubai towers but the first one is difinatly AL-Muhanna Tower, and that is how it looks like since more than 6 months ago untill today

ZX, That tower is never going to get finished :) Guys, what is the status on the City Center Hotel towers? How many floors are up so far?

halawala i am not sure but when i went thare saterday the first 2 are really high but the other 2 are still low really low maybe only 4-5 levels? !!!!!!!

accourding to some one who work in MZ & PARTNERS, all these towers ar approved except for Alsameryia which it needs to be approved by al ameer to accept its design since it blocks the sea view.

the staduim's capasity would be around 10,000 and will cost around 750 m QR

مشروع السيتي سنتر ؟؟

سمعت اليوم في قناة العقارية خبر يقول عن مشروع السيتي سنتر الجزء الاول من المشروع هو بناء برجين بارتفاع 52 طابق وهم هالبرجين
والجزء الثاني هو بناء ثلاث ابراج الي في الجهة الثانية يتكون كل واحد منهم من 100 طابق
يعني برجين بجانب السيتي بطول 52 طابق والصوب الثاني ثلاثة بطول 100 طابق :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:

اختارت شركة «فيصل القابضة» الجمعية القطرية للفنون التشكيلية لتقديم 5000 لوحة فنية وذلك لتعبر عن التراث والفن القطري في المشروع التي تقوم به شركة فيصل وهي بناء 5 فنادق سياحية بجوار مركز سيتي سنتر الدوحة.

المشروع عبارة عن مرحلتين تشمل المرحلة الاولى فندقين بارتفاع 52 طابقا وقد بدأت الشركة في البناء بهذه المرحلة في شهر ابريل 2005 وتنتهي منها في يوليو 2007 اما المرحلة الثانية فهي عبارة عن ثلاثة فنادق بارتفاع 100 طابق بدأت الشركة بها في ديسمبر 2005 وسوف تنتهي نوفمبر 2009 الشركة التي تقوم بالتنفيذ هي شركة اماراتية لها خبرة عالية في المباني المرتفعة اما التمويل الفنادق فسوف سوف يكون من البنك الاهلي المتحد وبنك دبي الوطني.

ومن خلال الحفل الذي اقيم بمناسبة الاعلان عن الاتفاقية بين فيصل القابضة والجمعية القطرية للفنون التشكيلية مساء أول أمس بفندق الماريوت القى الشيخ فيصل بن قاسم آل ثاني كلمة قال فيها: اننا محظوظون لكوننا نعيش في بلد يعد اقتصاده ضمن الاقتصاديات الاسرع على مستوى العالم.. واننا على يقين ان رؤية حضرة صاحب السمو امير البلاد المفدى لمستقبل دولة قطر سترفع اقتصاد البلاد الى مصاف الاقتصاديات الرائدة في المنطقة والعالم واننا مصممون على المشاركة الفعالة في هذا المستقبل الواعد.

No way, that information is wrong. The three towers are 50 floors each and the Emarati firm is al habtoor engineering. Its a well-known fact anyway. Guys, dont believe everything you hear these days.

علمت "الشرق" ان منظمة الخليج للاستشارات الصناعية "جويك" تدرس حاليا تحويل مقرها في منطقة الكورنيش الى برج شاهق يتكون من 65 طابقا، وقال مصدر لـ «الشرق» ان مجلس المنظمة ناقش هذا الامر وان الدراسات تجري حاليا حول كيفية تمويل المشروع، حيث تتجه النية الى تأمين التمويل من خلال بعض البنوك التجارية.
وتشير المعلومات الى ان البرج المزمع اقامته في نفس مقر المنظمة حاليا سيكون بمثابة مشروع استثماري للمنظمة، حيث ستخصص الطوابق السفلية من البرج للخدمات، فيما ستؤجر بقية الطوابق كمكاتب تجارية.
وأشار مصدر لـ «الشرق» الى انه سيتم انتقال المنظمة الى مقر مؤقت في الدوحة لحين الانتهاء من بناء البرج، حيث سيتم هدم المبنى الحالي والمكون من ثلاثة طوابق، وبناء البرج الشاهق في نفس المكان.
جدير بالذكر ان مقر منظمة الخليج للاستشارات الصناعية الذي لا يتجاوز ارتفاعه 50 مترا محاط بالعديد من الابراج الشاهقة في منطقة كورنيش الدوحة.

Thanks Wakrawi for the updates. The Barwa project is probably transforming the Doha Jaddeda area in to a more modern area of Doha. They talked about this a while ago.

وقع مصرف قطر الاسلامي عقد مقاولات تقدر قيمته ب 80،6 مليون ريال قطري بتاريخ 9/7/2006 مع مجموعة الخيارين لبناء برج العوينة قرب فندق موفينبيك. يقع برج العوينة في منطقة السلطة القديمة قرب كورنيش الدوحة بجانب فندق موفينبيك والذي تم تصميمه من دار الاستشارات والتصميم ويعتبر البرج مثالا هندسيا حديثا ومبني اداريا بتصميماته والذي يتكون من 3 أدوار قبو والدور الارضي و14 طابقا اداريا وطابق بنتهاوس. سيتم تشييد العمارة خلال 18 شهرا من تاريخ البداية في شهر سبتمبر الحالي وبتكلفة اجمالية وقدرها 6.80 مليون ريال قطري تحت اشراف مكتب دار الاستشارات والتصميم.

حضر حفل توقيع العقد كل من السيد محمد ادريس المدير الاداري في مجموعة الخيارين ممثلا المقاول والسيد المهندس علي اشرف ممثلا عن دار الاستشارات والتصميم وتعهد الطرفان علي انجاز المشروع بالجودة.

وقال السيد المدير الاداري لمجموعة الخيارين: سوف نقوم بتوفير الجودة وانهاء المشروع في وقته .

انشئت الشركة مجموعة الخيارين في عام 2001م لتقديم خدمات السكن وحلول العمارة في المجتمع القطري.

فقد اعدنا ترتيب الشركة في السنة السابقة بكافة التجهيزات البنائية الخاصة وخلال فترة زمنية قصيرة واصبحت مجموعة الخيارين من بين شركات المقاولات في دولة قطر وضامنين مصادر النجاح للمستقبل.

حضر حفل توقيع العقد كل من السيد مانوج كومار جوشي - مدير المشروع والسيد محمد اكرم رئيس المحاسبين في مجموعة الخيارين.

Qatari 4 ever: these pictures are for Urban Planning & Development Authority's visit to Singapore and what you see in the pictures is the plan of the capital of Singapore.

All these new towers are great, but what about parking? I mean, they never think about that, they only build more and more and people have nowhere to pak - they really need to build a few multi-story carparks around West Bay and Dafna.

this tower is approved and it's around 49F :) , I remember a saw a name of one of qatar banks on this project(as i remember it was Qatar islamic bank, not sure though coz it was monthes ago)

Parking is a huuuuugggge probelm is going to be that i am sure of, they should build multi parking buildings around i agreee big timmeeeeee.
PS: we need more subways and bridges in that area too or else we wont get over the traffic jam in that area what so ever
