View Full Version : What do you think of jetBlue Airways?
Manila-X June 17th, 2006, 11:53 PM This is the place that I took from LA to NY and then to San Jose. For those who don't know, Jetblue is an American Airline specializing in domestic flights and provides some of the lowest fares.
I actually enjoyed flying with Jetblue. Ok, the place doesn't have meals but they provide snacks and drinks. The airline also have leather seats and provides around 35 channels of Direct TV.
For those who have flew with Jetblue, what do you think of this airline?

jamesinclair June 18th, 2006, 12:49 AM I really liked it. Low fare, but they give more food than other US airlines at this point. + Direct TV and satalite radio on the embraers...

The plane where I flew didn't have satellite radios but had Direct TV especially if you're flying for 5 or 6 hours.
Yes the fare is low. It costs me around US $160 for a flight from LA TO NY while other airlines would cost around US $350

These ridiculously low fares are one of the reasons B6 is now taking a big hit in profitability.
samsonyuen June 18th, 2006, 05:49 PM I haven't flown them yet, but they seem to have a lot of amenities.
yrkn June 19th, 2006, 12:20 AM they are 1 in LCCs
very comfy with all the amenities
Ryozen June 19th, 2006, 03:51 AM I've heard only good things about jetBlue. Although, a few months back one of their flights had a problem with its forward landing gear... and the passengers were watching live coverage of it on there personal screens! Talk about scary!
Cloudship June 19th, 2006, 02:45 PM Favorite airline here. What sells them isn't cost anymore (they are often not the cheapest flights, except for last minute fares), but rather that they have better service, friendlier staff, and more comfortable planes. They have been growing a little out of hand, and that has cost them, as has their strategy of new planes - the maintenance costs have caught up and they still owe big bucks on them. So the LLC model is starting to show it's weakness, but the service strategy is pulling them through.

I definitely agree with the service and I find the crew humorous and less formal compared to other airlines say, Cathay Pacific.
Anyway, I always find Jetblue flights full and there are alot of people travelling with this airline.
Samsonyuen, Jetblue is more a local US airline. The one I took when I flew to NY and then San Jose had the same class (no first, business or economy). But they had 36 channels for entertainment.
boricuba June 20th, 2006, 08:35 PM I think Jetblue is great! Is a discount airline that actually gives you some service!

Again, the only service that Jetblue can give besides nice flight attendants are snacks and the 36 channels of Direct TV. In fact I find it more entertaining compared to greats like Cathay Pacific.
Cloudship June 23rd, 2006, 02:21 PM They offer more leg room. A few inches compared to some carriers. They also have all leather seats, which are honestly more comfortable, too. They also are cleaner, brighter, and in some airports they use back-door loading and unloading meaning quicker board and deplane times.
And never discount pleasant service. This factor alone I th9ink puts them above the other airlines.
chavez June 23rd, 2006, 11:51 PM Kinda wonderful airline !!
I flown in SEP 2004 JFK-OAK-LGB and I have only good memories.

Dominican2dacore June 24th, 2006, 02:29 AM Its pretty good n cheap. Although i prefer flying Continental.
raymond3000 June 24th, 2006, 04:01 AM I have used them for the times I flew between NYC and LA. I always goto them 1st off when looking for the most cheapest fares when flying and if they have a high price than I know for sure that I likely won't find anywhere else online lower than them. The snacks are cool u should just eat a full meal b4 boarding so u don't expect too much from the snacks they give u. I like watching the tv while flying or taking a nap its a really comfortable flight and most of the time me being 6'1 I can have tons of leg room in the back area and most of the time there's like 2 to a row so we put our jacket or other stuff in the middle seat dats why I walways fly at nite because there's lesser passengers.
Cloudship June 26th, 2006, 02:37 PM Actually, I have usually found as of late that they don't have the cheapest fares unless you are booking closer than about 2 weeks out. And even then their cheap flights are usually at inconvenient times. Still, I choose them over others simply because the better planes and service are worth it.
