I don't like boxes but this one is very classy and for some reason apears larger than it really is...

let me preface this by saying I'm a fan of the box....this is one of the better ones I've seen....very simple internationalist styling and obviously has some Mies influence especially towards the base...not bad for a 60's design, it has aged well...nice overall ...8/10...

Crisp. One of the nicer boxes I've seen from that era. The diagonals are nice.

Its a timeless masterpierce. Designed by SOM, it was Australia's 2nd tallest skyscraper in 1972 at 500ft!
pretty impressive!

While it is a box
the gird like feature in this case does add a few things
More as symbol of the era it was built it, it could have been a lot worse. So get 6/10 from me for being a classy classic

9/10 from me. One of the best I've seen in Melbourne. I guess you just have to be there to appreciate its presence. Much better than those crap churned out today.

I remember watching each steel beam going up then towering over Melbourne. So long ago yet driving past it last weekend it still looks brand new. Timeless, fine Architecture.

boring? you mean it doesn't make you laugh? well, may I cordially recommend all those new buildings in China for your relaxation. most of them should make you laugh. I know I laughed. hahaha

This building is nice to look at day or night. I'd say it's a lot better than 90% of the highrises in Japan.

One of the best 70s buildings in Australia, wish it was 20 stories higher though, so it would really stand out on the skyline.
Its alittle bit of New York in Melbourne............
