Below are pictures of Mount Parnassos and its various villages/towns. Mount Parnassos is in the Sterea Ellada portion of Greece (in other words, central Greece) and has excellent ski facilities in the winter. In the spring/summer/fall it reminds one of alpine Europe.

It has many villages and towns, some of which include Thiva, Leivadia, Arachova, Thiva, and of course the ultra-importnat historic site of Delphi.

The part my parents are from is known as the region of Fthiotida and their villages are called Tithorea and Elatia.

^^ The lush forest you see at the base of the mountains, is, in actuality, hundreds of thousands of olive trees. The picture is taken from a restaurant in the ski town of Arachova that has its outdoor patio built on the edge of the cliffs! It makes for an excellent view!

This summer I will be taking more pics from various vantage points not often seen and I will be concentrating on a mixture of nature and man-made structures (i.e. roads, homes, offices, highways, stadiums, etc.)

We travled through Arachova and did this same exact tour last year.... (Delphi etc) my older cousin loved it so much he bought a vacation home (in arachova).... it's a beautiful place.

Just that I wasn't ready to go 1000000 stairs up (well, there were less, but to me it seemed they were that many) :sleepy:
We went there in July, and around 2pm so imagine the heat...I thought I wouldn't do it, my god! till one old guy passed by my side as if nothing... :eek2:, shit, then I said to myself I'd get upstairs or die! :colgate: :jk:
