View Full Version : 16-storey hotel on Swedish/Finnish border

A 16-storey hotel is planned to be built on the very border between Sweden and Finland, at the cities of Haparanda and Tornio in nothern Swe/Fin. It will be a 4-star hotel with 250 rooms, connecting two shopping-malls, one in Tornio and one in Haparanda. The earlier plans contained two towers with 12 and 10 floors, but now it seems like the 16-storey plan will be built. The renderings have not been released yet.

Och hur ska de kunna bygga ett hotell mitt på gränsen? ska de bygga över torneälven då? Vore kul att få se lite bilder på de där planerna.

Wow! It's nice to see that TornioHaparanda really is developing pretty fast. :) This hotel would be a great addition to the IKEA-project..
