I remember being very impressed by this building the last time I was in Singapore, on the way in to the city, but other than it's unique design, it doesn't have much, so it gets a 6 from me.

Looks garish and certainly screams for attention in Singapore..which is probably why it stands alone.
It is lighted up at night and the shadows cast a garish effect on it, making it look like a shard of tall rock.
Impressive if you are taking the highway from the airport into the CBD though;)

A very daring design, perhaps too daring... Its got a good design but the facade is simply terrible. WOuld have been much better with blue glass all over

Looks strange, but when it's all lighted up it's a totaly diferent story. At night the concourse is AMAZING!(well, at least to me)

The Concourse rises 147.4m ,43 floors above Beach Road.It was built in 1995 ,and comprises of an office tower ,a shopping mall and a 87-unit luxurious serviced apartments.
Consisting of a total site area of 20,905 sqm and a gross floor area of 105,754 sqm

Office Tower:
The office tower of The Concourse is no ordinary building. It offers you a total business environment and features to satisfy the requirements of the corporate office. Upon entering The Concourse office tower, you will notice a spectacular 5-storey atrium lobby, one of the grandest in Singapore. With no retail premises or banking halls, the lobby gives your corporation the dignified setting it deserves.
With his unique approach to the use of glass and angles at The Concourse, Mr Paul Rudolph has created a building literally caressed by light. Visually, its most remarkable aspect will be the windows, sloping outward to maximise the use of light, allowing you to enjoy Singapore's spectacular horizon from any vantage point. In addition, fourteen 3-storey high sky atriums in the office tower create elegant reception areas for large multi-national tenants.
The Concoures Executive Suites:

Living in The Concourse Executive Suites opens up a whole new lifestyle. Its comfortable proximity to our very own shopping mall means easy access to varied yet practical amenities - restaurants, retail outlets, clinics, air-conditioned food court and entertainment centre etc … virtually everything you need is just a mere escalator-ride away.

Ahhhhahahha i remember someone on this forum sayin taipei 101 looks like chinese takeaway boxes stacked up together.
I actually like the desin of this building, and that pic of the pool and that part of the building looks relaly nice..
Take a look at Lippo Center in Central district Hong Kong, it's a glazed curtain wall version of this buidling.

Yeah lah...everybody keeps saying T101 look like takeaway boxes, but its such a Westernised view. Coz over in China, since when do we use takeaway boxes with that kind of shape! :D
As for Lippo Centre, I dont think they look similar leh? Lippo centre has lovely glass over what looks like modular blocks attached vertically to a pole...not quite the same as T101 or the Concourse with repeated patterns of facade becoming narrower downwards instead of upwards! ;)
