Oddly enough the towers are called 25th February and 26th February after the liberation date. They will be 32 and 37 storeys high respectively.

It's an old cemetery, i think it's from 60 years ago.

Last year, i saw a sign for Kuwait Municipality on the wall says it is a Jewish cemetery.

That explains a lot, I used to pass by it and would always wonder as to why it's located there. Btw ahmedjam how did you know that it's a Jewish cemetery ?

Lol, that was built decades if not centuries ago. So I think you'll be disappointed to know that you can't blame the municipality on this one since it probably didn't exist back then :)

merci .. the names are cheezy however, they should name them something more original like "crazy and halawala towers" LoL!

Anyway, dont you notice that whenever towers are being built they look small when its only a few floors built. But once they reach the 20th floor and up, they suddely look huge?

The project consists of two unique towers erected to 32 floors & a height reaches 170m each. The two building are joined through a ground panoramic & stunning dome which forms the reception area & main entrance for both the towers, in addition to 2 panoramic sky bridges between the 11th & 22nd floors.
The towers consists office floors for commercial use, they were designed remarkably to meet the requirements of the contemporary companies which need to exist in the vital area of "Sharq", not to mention being in a building that concludes quality finishing & construction beside the advanced technology.


Project features:

Address: Sharq area- Bahbahani roundabout- next to Khalijiya complex.

Height : 170m each

Floors : 32 floors each

Total Floor area: 290m2 (Including services area)

Elevators: 6 for each tower.

those projects are really good to create a denser city ,even though they're not that great, a city where people can actually feel they're in an urban area, unlike now where the vast majority of Kuwait city is a desert :P

they need to slove the streets for massive floods of cars soon ... and more gas stations please in the sharq and all of kuwait city

Well, as q8_shaggy_17 said, this explains the slow work in the two towers... I hope this is the only reason for that... And yes, you can see some workers in the site working on ficadding the two towers...

this is one of the best projects in kuwait because....we lack twin towers in kuwait....so this is going to be nice one

على نسبة الزيادة المقرره لهم
• الامين العام: طلب شركة التجارة والاستثمار العقاري بزيادة نسبة البناء للقسيمتين رقم 24، 25 قطعة 7 بمنطقة شرق وذلك بزيادة نسبة البناء 150 في المئة للقسيمة 24، 400 في المئة للقسيمة 25.
• الحميدان: لا يجب الموافقة على هذه المعاملة لوحدها فإما ان نوافق على الجميع أو نرفض الجميع.

option-1 had a very different design that is very similar to 9ahod's dancing tower you will find it on thier website http://www.option-1.org/

the height of the tower should at least increase to 196.56 which could make the tower really stand in the city.

علمت «الراي» ان شركة التجارة والاستثمار العقاري ارسلت كتابا الى مجلس الوزراء لاحاطته علما بمماطلة البلدية في منح الشركة ترخيصا لبرج ضمن مشروع للشركة يتضمن برجين بارتفاع الاول بارتفاع 34 طابقا والثاني 40 طابقا. وقال مصدر متابع ان الشركة كانت حصلت على موافقة المجلس البلدي لبناء برجين للمكاتب يحملان اسم برج 25 وبرج 26 فبراير، ومنحت البلدية الترخيص لاحدهما لكنها لم تمنحها ترخيصا لزيادة عدد الطوابق الى 40 طابقا ، الامر الذي دفع الشركة الى اللجوء الى القضاء.
واشار المصدر الى ان الشركات التي بنت او تبني ابراجا حاليا قرب البرجين المشار اليهما حصلت من البلدية على تراخيص وموافقات لزيادة نسب البناء لكنها لم تمنح الموافقة ذاتها الى شركة التجارة والاستثمار العقاري.
ولفت المصدر الى ان الشركة ارادت من مخاطبة مجلس الوزراء ايجاد حل لهذه الاشكالية وابلاغه بموافقة المجلس البلدي على طلب الشركة، ورفض البلدية لهذا الطلب.

ماكو سالفه اللحين الشركه الماللكه رافعه قضيه على البلديه للمطالبه بمنح الشركه النسبه المطلوبه اسوة بالبرج الملاصق والذى تم منحها لنفس الشركه المالكه للبرج الذى سوف ينتهى قريبا وطبعا هو معروف لدى البلديه الدز من المز يعنى حط فلوس تلغى كل خير لبلديه فاسده وبالاخير قامت الشركة برفع قضيه للمطالبهبالزياده على النسبه والتعويض عن الضرر الحاصل من جراء تاخير و خسارة ايجارات وغيرها والظاهر الشركه راح تكسب القضيه وبالنهايه ينتهى البرج على هذا الارتفاع او تقر الزياه فان حق الشركه سيتم اخذه بالقضاء

مشكله هالبلدية وايد مشاريع واقفه من عسارتهم
حتى مشروع القريه التراثيه واقف من سنين مادري شقصته معاهم

totally agree !!,, what they are thinking !! the plot is so small it doesn't even have a parking that serve the towers !! this is ugly. both Raya's towers have good parking spaces, Dawo Tower have an underground parking and KBT will build one big parking building. at the end they are dying to get as their hight !! Stupid YEAH.

i guess there is a large plot for parking in front of pizza hut a few meters from the tower and i guess its pretty stupid to construct half the tower and stop construction. probably they want to earn revenue from the first tower and use it for the second?:)

Why building the second !! honestly what I wanted to say in my previous post was, some people here in Kuwait don't know when enough is enough. economically and every other thing wise it is FAIL.

تم الانتهاء من اعمال التشيد والبناء ل برج 25 ول برج 26 سيتم الانتهاء منه فى نهاية السنه 2011

I think they will keep the unfinished tower with the current height... Yesterday, the top of the short tower looked almost finished to me...
It's just a feeling.... I'm not sure about this...

وحاليا توجد قضية ضد البلديه بالتعويض عن الخسائر حول عدم منح التراخيص المتعلقه باخذ الزياه فى نسبة البناء

أول شيء تسويه إنك تشترك في أي من مواقع استضافة الصور مثل
www.flickr.com

www.imageshack.us

الخطوة الثانية ترفع الصور اللي تبي تعرضها في الموقع اللي اشتركت فيه

آخر شيء بعد رفع الصور في الموقع راح تلاقي إن كل صورة لها كود أو عنوان خاص فيها، تأخذ هالكود وترفقه مع مشاركتك في منتدانا هذا

الصورة اللي تحت من حسابي الخاص في موقع الفوتوبوكيت لرفع الصور وتوضح كود الصورة اللي يساعدك في إرفاق الصور في المنتديات العامة
