المطرود تعتزم إطلاق مدينة الثلج في الكويت بتكلفة إجمالية 1.6 مليون دينار في فبراير 2007
اعلن رئيس مجلس ادارة شركة المطرود العضو المنتدب بدر المطرود عن بدء الشركة بتنفيذ مشروع مدينة الثلج والذي سيرى النور مع موسم احتفالات الكويت بأعيادها الوطنية في شهر فبراير 2007 وذلك بالتعاون مع شركة صينية عالمية متخصصة بتنفيذ مثل هذه المشاريع الترفيهية حيث قامت ببناء مشاريع مماثلة في أكثر من بلد منها السعودية ودبي وسنغافورة والهند وتايلاند.
وعن تفاصيل المشروع ذكر المطرود انه يقع على الدائري الاول بجوار صالة التزلج على مساحة اجمالية مسطح البناء فيها 1500م2 بتكلفة اجمالية 1.6 مليون دينار كويتي وتحتوي مدينة الثلج على حلبة الثلج وألعاب ثلجية منحدرة ومتنوعة ومنحوتات ثلجية سوف تنال اعجاب الجمهور لما تتميز به من دقة وبراعة في النحت على الثلج وعن أهم ما يميز مدينة الثلج قال المطرود ان الهدف من انشاء هذا المشروع الترفيهي لا يقتصر على الترفيه والعيش في اجواء القطبين الشمالي والجنوبي فقط انما يشمل جوانب تعليمية للأولاد وطلبة المدارس فالمجسمات والمنحوتات داخل مدينة الثلج ذات طابع تعليمي مدروس بعناية بما يتلاءم مع مختلف الفئات من الاعمار لطلبة المدارس كما ان المشروع يوفر جوا من الترفيه الكامل لكافة أفراد الاسرة لتكون الاستفادة أعم وأشمل.
