Rotana Kuwait targets impressive first-year occupancy

SET to open its door in the next couple of months is Rotana Hotels and Resorts’ first property in Kuwait, the five-star Al Manshar Rotana Hotel with expected first-year occupancies of 55 per cent, according to a hotel executive.

“Based on recent market research that we have surveyed within the state of Kuwait, we have forecasted our first year occupancy at 55 per cent,” says the hotel’s Mohamed Soussan, director of sales and marketing, GCC. “As the first Rotana property in Kuwait, our customers are expecting to have the same level of services and the real Arabic hospitality.”

Conveniently located in Fahaheel area, close to the state’s major oil and gas companies, the hotel is part of the Al Manshar shopping and entertainment complex in Fahaheel. It is situated 20 minutes away from Kuwait International Airport, 25 minutes from Kuwait City Centre and the major exhibition ground, and some 45 minutes away from Saudi border.
Consequently, he adds, the hotel’s main source markets “are naturally the energy sector visitors as well as foreign military personnel and Saudi Arabian nationals.”

The hotel’s 200 luxurious rooms and suites are located in a 20-storey tower, all well-appointed and furnished to the highest specifications both for business and leisure. All offer views of the Arabian Gulf and the city of Fahaheel.

The hotel has no competitors within the Fahaheel area, Soussan tells TTN. “Our competitive advantages are kitchen facilities in all of our rooms and suites and a large number of connected rooms and suites. Besides, the hotel is directly connected to and within the Al Manshar Shopping Mall with over 100 shops of leading brands.”
The hotel hosts a range of F&B outlets: from the all-day Failaka Restaurant to the round-the-clock lobby lounge City Café, and the rooftop snack bar Bay View.

Its state-of-art meeting and banqueting facilities include the divisible Al Kout function room can accommodate up to 200 guests, while an elegant board room meets the needs of corporate guests. All are well equipped with the latest modern technological aids and equipment including videoconference facilities.

The hotel features a Rotana-standard Bodylines Health Club with rooftop temperature-controlled swimming pool, indoor Jacuzzi, fitness centre, massage rooms, complete with trainers and physiotherapists.
