Kev the burninator July 14th, 2006, 09:17 PM 110 bucks? You won't get anything great with that money but I guess it depends on what your going to be doing with it. If it's just snapshots of places then I guess you could buy an alright camera but if you're looking for something pro... I don't think that will cut it. AmherstMan July 14th, 2006, 10:19 PM just to take pictures of buildings and stuff. I am waiting for my birthday so i will have about $300 to spend hoogbouw010 July 14th, 2006, 11:44 PM Shops might have some offers for older models like the Canon PowerShot S-40, S-45, or S-50. But you also need to buy a memory card and for digicams with batteries, a set of rechargeable batteries and a good battery charger. A protective camerabag is also useful. jamesinclair July 15th, 2006, 10:29 AM 110 is pretty low for a good camera. Especially since youll need a memory card. Youll need at least 199. Ive been very happy with my Canon SD200. You should be able to find a refurbished SD300 for a good price. Those which I posted cost 150 and 170 pounds ;) Jayayess1190 July 16th, 2006, 11:49 PM The best of those is the Kodak Easyshare C330. You want a camera with at least 3x Optical Zoom. Soulbrotha July 17th, 2006, 12:28 AM Soulbrotha thank you very much man , but I am looking for better camera, smth like 150- 180 pounds, so its something about 220 and plus dollars... Those which I posted cost 150 and 170 pounds ;) yea, i mostly posted those for amherstman though...i'd still look at ebay if i were you. spongeg July 17th, 2006, 09:03 AM i'd go for a company that has always been in cameras like Nikon, Cannon, Olympus, Pentax and than go for Kodak, Fuji, HP I have a sony which is good good lens but i hate that it uses different memory cards which on average seem to be $10 more than the typical memory card extra features you might want to check out are movie mode - some come with it so you can make mini movies - video - some don;t have sound though most will now adays - and some only shoot for x amount of time -like say 30 seconds or 1 minute - where as others will let you film as long as your memory card lasts for posting online or emailing you can set the camera at the lowest setting - under 1 mp as monitors are not that much higher for resolution - if printing though you want at least 4 mp Soulbrotha July 17th, 2006, 09:16 AM or, you could go old school and buy a Canon AE-1 for around 20 bucks and get like 50 rolls of film, and shoot your ass off. Manila-X July 17th, 2006, 10:03 AM Just wondering. I currently have a Canon Powershot A700 and I'm thinking of selling it and buy an EOS. What do you think? Should I stick to my current camera or buy one? And do you need an EOS or those high-quality cameras to take good pics? Soulbrotha July 17th, 2006, 12:02 PM no, the sony cyber shot takes good pictures....if i were you i'd go to pbase.com and do a camera search, and then you can see just how awesome the pictures from some of the cheaper cameras really are. Soulbrotha July 17th, 2006, 12:05 PM double post Jayayess1190 July 19th, 2006, 04:25 AM Just wondering. I currently have a Canon Powershot A700 and I'm thinking of selling it and buy an EOS. What do you think? Should I stick to my current camera or buy one? And do you need an EOS or those high-quality cameras to take good pics? Stick with the A700, it has manual controls, so you can take great photos :okay: im_from_zw038 July 22nd, 2006, 03:01 PM this is a extremely good camera for its price (around a hundred bucks) the nikon coolpix L4 (spend some more for the L3, more megapixels but thats not so important) http://www.3dnews.ru/documents/12241/pic10.jpg NothingBetterToDo July 23rd, 2006, 02:25 AM Yeah....megapixels aren't massivly important unless you plan to print out huge posters, or crop your images down alot. I have a 6MP camera, but i almost always take pics in 1 or 2 MB mode. It makes NO difference to quality, especially if you only plan to view most of them on computer, or print them in normal photo size. It also saves space on your memory card, and its quicker to upload them onto your computer/ the internet. |
