Port Newark is one of the main and busiest container ports serving The Tri-State area. This port serves ships entering and leaving New York City and is an important trade hub in this region. Developed during the 1950s, the port is located between Newark and Elizabeth, NJ. and is runned by The Port Authority of NY & NJ. Today, the port is ranked the fifth busiest in the world and is the third largest in The United States.
