RafflesCity April 29th, 2003, 04:30 PM I made a trip up there, and like with the UOB Plaza, I took pics of the exterior, interior and view out. Enjoy!

My apologies for the quality of some pics
baqthier April 29th, 2003, 05:00 PM Capital Tower looks great and it looks more like something from Shanghai! I also like the SGX centre. :angel1:
szehoong April 29th, 2003, 07:29 PM I like Capital tower a lot! But I've always wondered what is at its strange crown. :? An observation deck?
Anyway how did you get into the building.....and take picture inside as well??? ;)
And I am surprised that the whole building is wired for WiFi / WLAN access. The only other building I know of is Menara Maxis (where I work) and there are bound to have pockets of very weak signals (like my desk :( ). Even the Petronas Towers aren't wired entirely (only portions and certain floors).
You must bring me there when I come to Singapore! :D
RafflesCity April 29th, 2003, 07:38 PM Yes! I love this building although I have no official business there.
I just strolled in during office hours. Best time is lunch time when there is more in and out traffic;)
There is no obs deck up there..just a posh and private club called China Club..although I did get a view out of there once by pleading with the receptionist for 'just a few min..I want to look out of the window only'
At night the top keeps changing colour..so it more like a HK kinda effect.;)
mookiecece April 29th, 2003, 09:50 PM love those pics!! great job RafflesCity!!
renell April 29th, 2003, 10:03 PM i thought it was the 4th tallest?:? anyways those are nice pics, and the Singapore buildings sure are quite loose.. we can't even take pics from the outside of MM buildings without security guards chasing us..
weirdo April 30th, 2003, 12:44 AM we can't even take pics from the outside of MM buildings without security guards chasing us

swatch69sg April 30th, 2003, 05:52 AM Nice Pics Raffles City!..Been iin Singapore for 3 years but never got the chance to go inside Capital Tower, though I always see it well lighted at night (with all those neon-colored signs)...Will try to visit this building one of these days...at least before I leave Singapore...hehhe

Puffdaddy May 4th, 2003, 04:34 AM OH wow nice buildings. Singapore is my favorite skyscrapers city for sure~!! I like the way they organized the city and keep it neat. No offense but not like HK where they just build buildings just for the hack of it.
RafflesCity May 4th, 2003, 03:42 PM Glad that you guys enjoyed the pics. Here are the night shots

Well, one of the main founders of the site happened to have a huge love for the building. He came down to meet me, and he took tonnes of photos there! :)

Strange. But when you open an architecture/skyscraper book, they usually have OUB as an entry. I guess there is a difference in how the critics and the skyscraper fans see things:cheers:
