I made a trip up there, and like with the UOB Plaza, I took pics of the exterior, interior and view out. Enjoy!

254m/ 833ft
52 floors
completed in 2000
designed by RSP Architects
Gross Floor Area - 95,556 m²/ 1,028,565 ft²

Located in the city-state’s financial district, Capital Tower is "home" to anchor tenants Government Investment Corporation (GIC) and JP Morgan Chase, as well as new economy titan Cisco Systems.

Capital Tower is the first of a new generation of wireless intelligent buildings and the first office building in Singapore outfitted to provide wireless local area network (LAN). Other intelligent features include screens in high-speed lifts providing live news and stock market updates, state-of-the-art carpark guidance system and a fully-integrated intelligent building management system.

I like Capital tower a lot! But I've always wondered what is at its strange crown. :? An observation deck?

Anyway how did you get into the building.....and take picture inside as well??? ;)

And I am surprised that the whole building is wired for WiFi / WLAN access. The only other building I know of is Menara Maxis (where I work) and there are bound to have pockets of very weak signals (like my desk :( ). Even the Petronas Towers aren't wired entirely (only portions and certain floors).

You must bring me there when I come to Singapore! :D

Yes! I love this building although I have no official business there.

I just strolled in during office hours. Best time is lunch time when there is more in and out traffic;)

There is no obs deck up there..just a posh and private club called China Club..although I did get a view out of there once by pleading with the receptionist for 'just a few min..I want to look out of the window only'

At night the top keeps changing colour..so it more like a HK kinda effect.;)

OH wow nice buildings. Singapore is my favorite skyscrapers city for sure~!! I like the way they organized the city and keep it neat. No offense but not like HK where they just build buildings just for the hack of it.

Well, one of the main founders of the site happened to have a huge love for the building. He came down to meet me, and he took tonnes of photos there! :)

Strange. But when you open an architecture/skyscraper book, they usually have OUB as an entry. I guess there is a difference in how the critics and the skyscraper fans see things:cheers:
