I heard in the media yesterday that 'some' owners of apartments in our Fav' yet 'poo brown' YE building have infact won a claim against the developers for an undisclosed amount on account that they where 'mislead' into thinking their tower was going to be Gold in colour.
It seems the sucessful owners where of chinese ethnicity and used factors such as Gold = Luck in their argument, amoung other superstious factors.
I wonder if the dude who made the promotional material and the render gold in colour is still working.

Or the guy who put in (or didn't put in) the fact that the building may be different to the plans given?

Nobody has won anything yet.

Mirvac has reached a settlement with 10 of the purchasers who wanted out of their contracts and the terms of the settlement are confidential.

One last purchaser is yet to settle his legal claim and that is expected to go before the Federal Court at a later date.

^^That makes more sense. Normally canging things like that (as long as you've specified that you could do it before people sign contracts) is completely legal!

I heard something about this a while ago. Is it YE5??? I would rather keep it brown instead of gold. We've got enough gold already and it looks good brown although I see their point.

sorry if not all the facts are correct in my first post but that is certainly the impression the media report 'put across'.
It was 3aw early morning news so that might account for any misinformation.
