Great pictures. I've driven through Alexandria on the main roads, and it looked like a well-preserved historical town. This is one place I'd like to photograph. (I've heard good things about Fairfax, VA, as well, and it looked nice on the main roads I was on in that city as well.)

I wonder why Winterthur has a museum store down there? I guess to cater to the super-elite clientele? I was unaware that Winterthur even had museum stores outside of Chateau Country.

I live there and only wish I'd been able to buy a small rowhouse on the somewhat rundown north side of Old Town a few years ago.

Nice pictures though. I'm always meaning to go about town and take some shots before I move somewhere else.

Old Town Fairfax isn't as nice or large as Alexandria's. It's got some charm, they're trying hard to make it better. George Mason University is in the area, and w/ the higher visibility now they're investing a lot in making it more college town friendly and walkable.

Alexanderia is very urban!
