What's with the planes being airborne? Where they redirected to other airports or could they land?
I hope they won't go on strike in middle of september, because then I will land there.

You mean sudden strike! As far as I know two days earlier Iberia lost the contract for the handling operations in the airport and the employees feared they would lose their jobs so they started that bizarre rebellion. I understand their frustration up to a point but what they did was totally unacceptable and the handling contracts negotiation was all legal

The whole airport was paralised so the planes were redirected to Girona, Reus, Perpignan, Valencia, Madrid among others
I hope they won't go on strike in middle of september, because then I will land there.
No worries, most of them will be relocated with the other 2 or 3 companies that won the handling contract and the rest will fired (I would fire them all, though) as normally happen in these situations

Those workers should be blamed, not IBeria. They should not only be fired by this PRIVATE enterprise, but they should be prosecuted.
