I'm new here and thrilled to have stumbled over the forum. I had a feeling I wasn't the only one in this city who secretly obsesses about building heights and new developments ...


... and speaking of which, does anyone know more specifics about the transformation of the 6th Ave corridor btwn. 23rd and 34th? There have been a number of condo towers going up in the area in recent years. Just a few weeks ago a new tower btwn 25th and 26th topped out (at around 37 flrs, if I'm not mistaken), along with that 58-storey tower btwn 6th and 7th on 31st.

Work on the foundation of another building between 24th and 25th has also been ongoing, there is a huge billboard for what looks like a glass/ concrete condo tower on the corner of 28th, and there is a parking garage btwn. 29th and 30th (off the top of my head ... I might be off by a block) in which all shops in the bottom closed, which leads me to believe/ hope that there is yet another tower in the works.

And yeah, I know condo towers are filler, but they still add to the overall density. Anyone have any more specific information?
