Well, seems like it won't be just the same like Rose Rotana. There are steel beams, yes, but they will be in concrete columns and there won't be steel floors. You can see this at the core where there are horizontal white lines, these are coverings for rebar connecting the core to the floor. If it would be steel floors you could see huge beams sticking out of the core to connect the outer beams with the core, but there aren't any.

Mystery solved! :)

I've seen the new payment plan for Elite Residence:

15 nov 09 65 % Level 10 ( main slab )
01 apr 10 5 % Level 25
01 aug 10 5 % Level 40
01 dec 10 5 % Level 55
01 apr 11 5 % Level 70
01 aug 11 5 % Superstucture completion
30 nov 11 10 % Completion

Is it real they are going to finish in 2 years?:dunno:

It seems realistic up to April 2011 (maybe even earlier if they keep to one floor a week and don't take too long for mechanical floors). Superstructure completion (ie, reaching the last floor) might be possible by August 2011 but they will need at the very least 6 months for the spire. Then there are all the usual delays between topping out and actual completion.

and also delays between structural completion and the handover of units/finishing of interiors.
