i dont like these towers that look like a church spire or fairytale palace rapunzel thing.... im not sure of the names of the towers.. i think maybe princess tower (good name for it) and najd as well as one other all look very similar... and i hate the design... it may be ok for a building that's shorter but these are too tall for this roof

the name "Elite" is either lebanese or palestinian... i will make a guess without reading name of the company that this is a sharjah company, from both the design and the name

exactally thats what i was thinking too, i mean for god sake just look at the top it looks so hideous. The top looks like a bloody pagoda. The building itself is an utter dissappointment an nursery kid coul've done better job then that.

The thing is Krazy, I like this tower for one reason only, and that is it seems unique. In design and chosen-style. We constantly complain that certain "pioneers" in Dubai chose to copy and imitate, which takes away the romance and culture of Arabia. This building is definately unique in design (yes it does look like EC) to Dubai and that's what is great about it.

I think such towers always appear to be unappealing in renders, but once they are built, they look spectacular.

Tameer unveils Dh1b Elite Residence project

DUBAI — Tameer Holding yesterday unveiled a Dh1 billion development in Dubai Marina targeted at the luxury market.

The ‘Elite Residence’ is a 91-floor residential tower featuring an unusual mixture of Victorian architecture finished in a futuristic layout. In addition to having 76 floors of residential apartments, the development also comprises four parking floors, four basements, two health clubs and a state-of-the-art business centre.

There will be one and two bedroom apartments, three and four bedroom penthouses, and villas. All will be smart-home enabled.

“The development once completed will feature all the facilities needed for comfortable, ultramodern, 21st century living”, said Tameer Holding’s president, Omar Ayesh.

The ‘Elite Residence’ is in close proximity to Tameer’s flagship development, the Princess Tower, hailed as the world’s tallest residential building with 107 floors. Scheduled for completion by end-2009, the tower has been 90 per cent pre-sold.

Established in 1991, Tameer Holding, the UAE property developer with an investment portfolio exceeding Dh40 billion, is a strategic partnership between Saudi company, Al-Rajhi Investment Group, and Tameer Property Establishment.

Other projects under development are the Dana 1 & Dana 2 projects and Al Jawzaa in International City, Al Shahd in the Emirates Hills, The Regal Tower in Business Bay, The Palace Towers in Dubai Silicon Oasis, Al Salam City in Umm Al Quwain, Al Ameera Village in Ajman and a mega-residential village in Jordan.

According to the latest update provided by Tameer, Al Dana 1 is nearly completed with all the apartments sold to investors and residents; Al Jawzaa is to be completed in mid-2007 and construction started on Al Salam City in May. This development is scheduled for completion in March 2009 and phase I is already sold out.

Al Ameera Village was launched in May and the first foundation stone was laid in early June. And the foundation bricks for the 7000 unit development in Jordan will be laid “very soon”.

i agree it is not my type of architecture also, yes.. but it is better than princess for example.

i am not the one going against the Dubai Haters... what i don't like are biased opinion and people claiming to be experts but actually have no idea.

I'm just happy that Najd got replaced! :) Living in the tallest block on the planet sure has some spring to it and I'm absolutely sure that this is only going to have a positive impact on the Marina.. just imagine driving on the SZR/Beach Rd. towards this block.. at sunset...just an awe-inspiring scene that would make many other cities green with envy!

Btw, I think there are far less people who "hate" Dubai than those who "envy" Dubai.

Krazy Dubai does the best post modern buildings in the world dubai is the home of it. I dont like the top a great deal but it could be worse. Id rather it represented more arabic architecture on the top.

We already got the website link on previous page. Anyway as you can see from the logo it's a reprsentation of the top of the tower which hopefully means it won't lose it's crown so to say.

Also some of the pictures show a very detailed top. I think the whole tower will have a lot of detail like Marina crown.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling tameer's towers will turn out better than everyone thinks. Generally architects or architecture enthusiasts hate postmodernism or any new building which borrows from other styles, they call it more awful than a massive concrete block. It seems to just be architecture snobbiness though and the general public will probably like these types of towers.

I think this tower is ok but not great, the top doesn't seem to fit very well but it does have a lot of detail which is a good thing

from that render... it looks like it will be very close to 400m or a little less.. more or less the same height as 23 Marina

91 X 4 =364 and than look at the massive spire.

This tower reported under construction this month, but they already have a hole dug don't they? I like this outlandish style "Dubai postmodern." But US-wise, I'd take one in Miami but nowhere else. (Those guys are never in this forum so they won't get on me for saying that.)

I think this tower is actually quite nice and it looks good as the model as well. You'd hope they won't lose if not for the simple fact of making this tower taller.

Interest -free payment plan , 10 installments over 38 months.

So it will be ready after 38 months?

Good luck to them selling this tower... I dont think there are any buyers left for the ultra luxury market

Well, whatever some people may say about this tower, I think it's just beautiful! This is what Dubai is all about in my opinion!

The detail on Elite Residences is just great... I really love the green and that crown is amazing! Reminds me of a clock tower actually (Big Ben comes to mind) but here is yet another supertall gem for Dubai!

i remember the launch ( i think in the grand hyatt if i am not mistaken)

Tameer signs Dh605 million deal with ACC

SHARJAH — Tameer Holding, the region's leading real estate development company, has signed a Dh 605 million agreement with Arabian Construction Company (ACC), to be the Main Contractor of "Elite Residence" — one of Tameer's prestigious projects situated in Dubai Marina.

This venture between Tameer and ACC comes after the construction firm had already been commissioned to work on the "Princess Tower" — an iconic development of Tameer and considered the tallest residential towers in the world. The contract between the two firms is consistent with Tameer Holding's endeavour to team with the region's leading construction and contracting firms in the realisation of its projects. ACC's portfolio is comprehensive and includes desalination plants, factories, hotels and hospitals.

It is expected that the Elite Residence will become one of Dubai Marina's most striking landmarks. This plush development covers an area of 1,461,310 square feet, has 91 levels with 82 residential floors, four car parking floors, four basements and a height of approximately 380m. The Elite Residence is characterised with waterfront views of the Arabian Gulf and the Palm Jumeirah, in addition to boasting close proximity to Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City, as well as high-end shopping centres such as Emirates Mall and Ibn Battuta Mall.

Well, whatever some people may say about this tower, I think it's just beautiful! This is what Dubai is all about in my opinion!

The detail on Elite Residences is just great... I really love the green and that crown is amazing! Reminds me of a clock tower actually (Big Ben comes to mind) but here is yet another supertall gem for Dubai!

No, I haven't bought here but I definitely hope to in the future (and on Palm Jumeirah also). It's a truly beautiful building, the kind of building you would only ever see in Dubai! I am just so busy right now with contractual commitments in Europe that I really don't know when I'll be able to get out there? But I definitely will get out there for sure at some point mate! I have plans to invest heavily in Dubai for the future! :)

For me personally, I've got some family problems to deal with as well...so it's really not that easy at the moment for me to make that kind of decision. I'm just finding this forum very informative and exciting and I'm basically just trying to keep up with everything that's going on out there for now. So, a big thanks to all you guys (and gals too I suppose:lol:) for all of the great daily updates, info, pics, etc, etc. Awesome stuff folks! Greatly appreciated! :) :okay:

No I haven't bought here, would very much like to but funds are exhausted now. It's one of my favourite looking towers along with Infinity and Ocean Heights 1. I've bought at the Torch which will look very good also, but these three will be absolute stunners. Hope you manage to buy one eventually will be a great investment. Good luck.

You're so right, these towers you mentioned will be real stunners without doubt. Truly world class! I mean, they're just not building towers like these anywhere else in the world. I'm not saying it couldn't be done elsewhere...but the fact remains it isn't! I know I've said this before, but once the Marina and all these supertalls are completed you will have one of the absolute best addresses on the planet!!! It's true! :yes: SO many people want a piece of this! And that's obviously good news for investors, potential investors and Dubai itself of course. I think the tower itsself is pretty good, especially in that picture of the base you can see some details. The top is the problem though

I actually think the top is not too bad and overall the whole tower will turn out quite nice

I think that a " classic " design tower is not bad in the contest

Why are these covered so deep in the sand anyway?

^^ Because it is easier and cheaper to have the crawling cranes and piling rigs drive in and out of site and lift up from the hole only the excavators, then lift the excavators after the hole is dug, bring down the heavy piling rigs and big crawling cranes, and lift them out again once the piling job is done.

^^ Easier to put piling machines on flat land, complete piling, take them away, move excavators in and dig the hole, than to dig the hole, use cranes to lower piling machines, complete piling, and use cranes to bring the machines back. Cranes = added cost and additional complexity.

I also read Altins reply 5 times before I got that.
