Hello members,
I searched through all of the back pages as far as I could, but needed more information. I am looking to invest in some sort of housing in Hong Kong and be able to rent it temporarily (sublet, etc) when I'm not there (pretty much 99% of the year, since I can visit once a year (IF LUCKY!)).
Where would be good places for such information? What kinds of areas am I looking at? I'm a middle class US resident, so, my budget isn't sometihng outrageous like US$1,000,000, but considerably less. Single, one bedroom. Studio perhaps? How much should I expect to invest. Would there be potential renters?
About Chelsea Court...I read on their website they are willing to rent for you. How much of an investment would I make there? Since they claim they will rent for you, do they reap the profits (while paying off your mortgage)? Or do you pay your own mortgage while they collect the rent for their use? Or what exactly occurs? Has anyone here used something like this? Would there be renters at this particular location. I realize it's in an industrial area (Texaco Road? LOL.).
If someone could provide some insight, that'd be fabulous! - Demo.
