Here are a few Baltimore Neighborhoods from my recent wanderings (when the weather hasn't been too hot). They are mostly nice neighborhoods, although the grit is never far away.

UNION SQUARE
I had previously seen new Mount Zion Cathedral from Lombard Street and wanted to get a picture of it before I leave Baltimore. This led me to discover the charming Union Square neighborhood.

STATION NORTH / NORTH AVENUE
This tour doesn't really fall under one neighborhood name but included some buildings I had wanted to photograph.

Greenmount Cemetery:
Some of Baltimore's most rich and famous residents are buried in Greenmount. However, the surrounding streets are some of the most derelict and decaying (that is if the houses are even still standing) in the city, as you can see from some of the pictures.

st?unning photos. thanks. do you have any pictures of the basilica of the assumption? i believe that it dates from the early 19th century. it was designed by benjamin latrobe, who also designed the u.s. capitol in d.c.as well as st. john's church on lafayette square in d.c.

No idea, I'm afraid. I have unlimited bandwidth with my picture hosting, but it's obviously not that anyway as other people can see them. If you copy the image location and paste in a new browser window can you see the pictures?

I believe the congregation is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year.
