Williamsport...one of the first cities I remember seeing and sticking with me.

nice photos...I would guess the city is doing better than some but trails others economically?

I LOVE this town. I always make sure I'm awake when we drive through. Rt 15 Takes you RIGHT through downtown and you can see many of those mansions. It's also the spot were we first see Wegmans; a sign that we are starting to get closer to Rochester. If the 12 hour drive becomes too tough to tackle in one day we always stop way south of here in Carlisle, PA; but I'd rather we stopped in Williamsport.

williamsport is one of my favorite places in the northeast. thanks so much for the wonderful photos. this town has some of the best mansard-roof victorians in the whole u.s.

Kind of an unappreciated town with some great old buildings. I wish they'd finish that bridge. Fun tour Eg, thanks. btw, I heard they play some baseball there too. :wink2:

Bowman Field is historic as well. It's the second oldest stadium in affiliated Minor League Baseball. And "Crosscutters" is one of the best names in the minor leagues.

I wouldn't really say that Route 15 takes you right through downtown. As one of the pictures show, Route 15 crosses the Susquehanna River, and then you can either head straight into Williamsport, or turn right and eventually continue on Route 15 along the north shore of the Susquehanna.

Where can you see Millionaire's Row? I'm driving up to Canada tomorrow, so I'll be keeping my eyes open.

The Wegmans near Route 15 tells me as well that I'm starting to get out of the East Coast region and into the Eastern Great Lakes region.

Beautiful damn town.

Millionaire's Row stretches for several blocks along West Fourth St. Just turn left onto W. 4th from Market St. downtown... and you'll be there in a couple minutes.
