Macht einen richtig stolz darauf, ein Wiener zu sein!

Schön zu sehen das in Wien viele Fassaden erhalten sind. In Graz hat man nach dem Krieg bei vielen Gründerzeithäusern die wunderschönen Fassaden einfach abgeschlagen oder zumindest vereinfacht - auch bei vielen die den Bombenkrieg unbeschadet überstanden hatten. In Wien gefallen mir auch die neueren Bürohochhäuser auch wenn mir gar nicht taugt was in den "Glaskathedralen der Hochfinanz" für Entscheidungen getroffen werden...

Ich war dort in deiner Gegend überrascht! Ich kennte diese Strasse nicht und warscheinlich gar nicht Währing auch. Diese Viertel ist ganz schön. Ich soll unbedingt mehr sehen! Komisch diese Turm als einige schöne Beispielen von Jugendstil Gebaüde bleibt fast unbekannt, naja für jemand der kommt nicht aus Wien, klar...

Einmal mit dem Rad umfallen und ich bin bei der Währingerstraße :)
Ist zwar schon der 9. aber ich bin manchmal im Cafe Weimar aufzufinden.

Bin auch öfters (beruflich) in Paris und ich muss sagen, dass mir Paris von allen Städten die ich kenne am besten gefällt. Aber diese Fotos zeigen mir Seiten von Wien, die man als "Wiener" der jeden Tag durch diese Straßen geht normalerweise gar nicht mehr sieht. Ich liebe diese Detailaufnahmen. Sehr schön!

Paris ist super. Ich liebe es dort, die Leute sind sehr freundlich finde ich und die Infrastruktur und Architektur ist auch ein Wahnsinn. Ganz anders als hier. Haussmann hat im Prinzip tolle Arbeit geleistet, auch wenn dadurch viel einfach wegradiert wurde.

He has problems with communication. He asked if we could translate that. He lives in Vienna from time to time and likes to take photos of the city. He's going to be in Vienna in March, now he's in Poland. He's got a big collection of photos but he's not going to post all of them as it is about 20GB of them. He understands a little in English, but he cannot say much. :)

And from me: Great shots of the great city! :)

P.S. Sorry not for writing in German, but somehow I'm too lazy for that now.

Das ist ja völlig abgespaced. Wann wurde das gebaut? Wo, von wem?
Kann ich überhaupt nicht einordnen. Grob zeitlich vielleicht 30er. Gut saniert sähe das sicher grandios aus!

Hundertprozentig aus den 70ern/80ern...die waren hier sehr brutal. Mir ist das Gebäude allerdings unbekannt.

70er/80er kann ich mir kaum vorstellen. Schau mal auf die Profile an Dachfirst & Traufe und das Dach selbst. Solche Gauben und Schornsteine kenn ich aus dieser Zeit nicht. Auch die Raumhöhen sprechen dagegen.

Ich denke es ist max. aus den 60ern, eher früher.


PS: Die 70er/frühen 80er waren überall brutal ;)

Hm, hm, hm...wenn wir wüssten, wo das Ding steht, könnte ich mehr darüber sagen. Mich irritieren die flachen, länglichen Fenster in der untersten Etage, die waren in den 80ern recht fashionable.

Das ganze ist ein schlimmer Alptraum.
Mir schaut das auch nicht nach Zwischenkriegszeit aus.


Fast so schlimm wie Hundertwasser.

Vielleicht kann jemand den Bezirk erkennen auf dem Strassenschild ?

Oder vielleicht erinnert sich qrde wo er die Bullaugen fotografiert hat ?

Mir scheint, es steht 15. oder mehr darauf, Gasse beginnt meines Erachtens nach mit P.

Na , ich weiss nicht wie die anderen Projekte des Herrn Gsteu aussehen, dieses jedenfalls finde ich gelinde gesagt :weird:

Da hat der Herr Gsteu sich aber für einen eigenartigen Stilmix entschieden. Hier hat man Mitte der 80er völlig anders gebaut.

Hier hat mich das Apollo-Kino überrascht - hätte nicht gedacht dass dieser Turm so hoch ist (nicht zu vergessen, es liegt ja auch um gute 5-10m tiefer als der Flakturm).

Das Haus steht in der nördlichen Meidlinger Hauptstrasse. Wie man auf dem NORC-Bild vielleicht sehen kann, ist es ein wenig von der Strasse abgerückt und ist deshalb schwer zu finden wenn man nicht gerade davor steht.
Ist eines der letzten "Hochhäuser" von dem ich persönlich wusste - ich weiss jetzt nur nicht ob ichs durch eine Stadtentwicklungsplankarte gefunden habe (mit einem Punkt für jedes >40m HH) - oder dank Shadows Tipp. :)

Wir haben ja auch noch einen Wiener Skyline-Thread (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=742342&page=7) für diverse Silhouettenaufnahmen oder Bilder von Aussichtspunkten ;)

Denke, eine weitere Separation ist da nicht notwendig. Zumal viele einzelne Threads meist nicht so viel Resonanz ernten wie ein größerer.
(Was nur für bestimmte Threadarten gilt, nicht aber Projektethreads - da lautet die Devise: Desto mehr, desto gut!)

Schöne Bilder Norbb. Wollte dir auch vorschlagen, zumindest die HH in den Skyline Bilder Thread zu stellen.
Interessant auch, wie hoch der Küniglberg tatsächlich ist.
