在 繁 花 盛 放 的 大 自 然 公 園 內 留 下 幸 福 的 結 婚 照 ， 在 《 聖 經 》 傳 說 的 挪 亞 方 舟 上 領 略 大 洪 水 的 奧 秘 ， 在 新 奇 的 太 陽 館 學 習 天 文 知 識 。 馬 灣 公 園 將 於 明 年 年 中 建 成 ， 本 港 居 民 與 旅 遊 業 界 都 寄 望 甚 殷 ， 期 望 這 個 毗 鄰 竹 篙 灣 的 小 島 ， 可 以 繼 迪 士 尼 樂 園 後 ， 發 光 發 熱 。

馬 灣 位 於 大 嶼 山 與 青 衣 之 間 ， 與 迪 士 尼 樂 園 不 過 數 公 里 之 遙 。 馬 灣 公 園 是 新 鴻 基 地 產 旗 下 一 項 社 區 建 設 項 目 ， 發 言 人 稱 ， 公 園 是 為 下 一 代 而 建 ， 除 吸 引 各 地 遊 客 前 來 觀 光 ， 也 盼 建 造 一 個 具 教 育 特 色 、 有 質 素 的 休 閒 旅 遊 設 施 ， 供 本 地 學 生 及 市 民 使 用 。


首 期 主 題 公 園 耗 資 四 億
主 題 公 園 分 兩 期 興 建 ， 第 一 期 耗 資 逾 四 億 元 ， 設 施 包 括 大 自 然 公 園 、 挪 亞 方 舟 及 太 陽 館 。 大 自 然 公 園 將 會 最 先 落 成 ， 明 年 年 中 揭 幕 ， 其 餘 兩 項 設 施 則 在 數 月 後 相 繼 完 工 。 整 個 公 園 面 積 不 多 於 二 十 公 頃 ， 第 二 期 的 設 施 則 尚 在 計 劃 中 ， 未 有 最 後 方 案 。
大 自 然 公 園 是 集 合 六 個 花 園 於 一 身 的 大 花 圃 ， 六 個 特 色 花 園 包 括 芒 蕨 花 園 、 野 蘭 花 園 、 杜 鵑 花 園 、 香 港 花 園 、 東 澳 花 園 及 南 美 花 園 ， 各 有 主 題 樹 木 和 花 卉 品 種 襯 托 出 不 同 的 特 色 ， 將 是 新 婚 夫 婦 拍 照 新 熱 點 。
公 園 內 設 有 再 生 能 源 設 施 ， 示 範 風 力 和 水 力 發 電 的 概 念 和 裝 置 。 又 有 名 為 「 生 命 旅 程 」 （ Life Journey ） 的 遊 樂 設 施 ， 透 過 遊 戲 ， 展 示 充 滿 挑 戰 和 障 礙 的 人 生 。 公 園 的 山 頂 會 建 設 一 座 觀 景 台 ， 欣 賞 譽 為 香 港 十 大 夜 景 的 「 汲 水 殘 紅 」 美 景 ， 即 青 馬 大 橋 及 汲 水 門 大 橋 於 黃 昏 和 入 夜 後 的 迷 人 景 致 。
說 到 馬 灣 公 園 的 重 點 環 節 ， 必 定 是 挪 亞 方 舟 。 馬 灣 公 園 的 挪 亞 方 舟 是 依 據 《 聖 經 》 及 各 種 歷 史 文 獻 資 料 而 建 ， 是 世 上 首 項 工 程 。 方 舟 之 內 ， 會 展 覽 大 量 《 聖 經 》 歷 史 故 事 ， 包 括 舊 約 《 聖 經 》 中 挪 亞 打 造 方 舟 避 過 大 洪 水 的 傳 說 ， 還 有 種 種 古 文 明 故 事 。 方 舟 中 設 有 一 座 多 媒 體 展 館 、 一 個 戶 外 動 物 花 園 ， 展 出 近 二 百 種 動 物 的 史 前 及 瀕 危 野 生 動 物 的 塑 像 ， 藉 此 宣 示 愛 護 大 自 然 生 命 的 訊 息 。
太 陽 館 則 是 一 座 天 文 常 識 科 學 館 ， 號 稱 全 東 南 亞 首 個 民 用 太 陽 館 ， 設 有 太 陽 望 遠 鏡 ， 能 將 太 陽 與 地 球 的 距 離 拉 近 一 千 倍 ， 讓 學 童 能 觀 察 太 陽 表 面 的 活 動 ， 包 括 黑 子 、 磁 力 光 及 日 珥 等 天 文 現 象 。
新 地 指 出 ， 馬 灣 公 園 需 收 取 入 場 費 ， 但 目 前 尚 未 決 定 金 額 。 公 園 內 會 提 供 度 假 屋 式 的 住 宿 設 施 ， 可 供 遊 客 入 住 ， 也 方 便 學 校 或 私 人 團 體 進 行 日 、 夜 營 訓 練 課 程 ， 房 間 分 為 八 人 、 四 人 、 雙 人 三 種 ， 共 提 供 約 二 百 二 十 個 床 位 。


旅 業 認 為 有 助 吸 引 遊 客
香 港 旅 遊 業 議 會 總 幹 事 董 耀 中 歡 迎 馬 灣 公 園 計 劃 的 落 實 ， 認 為 有 助 吸 引 不 同 類 型 旅 客 ， 「 香 港 需 要 多 主 題 公 園 ， 吸 引 唔 同 口 味 遊 客 ， 好 似 挪 亞 方 舟 ， 就 可 以 提 起 基 督 徒 來 港 觀 光 興 趣 。 」
荃 灣 區 議 員 田 世 鳴 認 為 ， 馬 灣 公 園 有 助 帶 動 本 土 經 濟 ， 一 方 面 可 以 製 造 就 業 機 會 ， 另 方 面 也 可 提 供 本 地 旅 遊 的 景 點 ， 「 家 適 合 一 家 大 小 而 又 有 教 育 意 義 主 題 公 園 只 得 海 洋 公 園 一 個 ， 我 對 馬 灣 公 園 好 有 期 望 。 」

I agree. It's a weak project, and not worth wasting money on.

Instead of such pointless things, why not try to save things like the Star Ferry pier, and builidngs that actually mean something before replacing them with buildings/projects that look they've been designed by Disney.

【 本 報 訊 】 由 新 鴻 基 地 產 興 建 的 馬 灣 主 題 公 園 第 一 期 項 目 終 於 有 望 與 公 眾 見 面 ， 「 挪 亞 方 舟 」 多 功 能 中 心 將 訂 於 明 年 首 季 開 幕 ， 昨 日 更 邀 請 傳 媒 參 觀 。 然 而 ， 公 園 另 一 設 施 「 太 陽 館 」 育 中 心 ， 以 及 保 留 原 有 馬 灣 舊 村 風 貌 並 加 以 活 化 的 第 二 期 工 程 完 成 仍 然 遙 遙 無 期 。 有 立 法 會 議 員 對 各 項 設 施 被 一 拖 再 拖 感 到 失 望 ， 認 為 政 府 應 要 求 發 展 商 賠 償 。




挪 亞 方 舟 外 的 方 舟 花 園 可 眺 望 青 馬 大 橋 景 色 。

新 地 昨 日 安 排 傳 媒 參 觀 全 球 唯 一 根 據 遠 古 挪 亞 方 舟 原 大 體 積 而 建 的 「 挪 亞 方 舟 」 多 功 能 中 心 ， 整 個 項 目 耗 時 五 年 。 但 明 年 首 季 只 開 放 戶 外 方 舟 花 園 、 動 物 藝 術 雕 塑 模 型 、 跨 越 奇 園 的 巨 人 鞦 韆 和 臨 海 餐 廳 ， 並 展 出 30 多 件 包 括 有 150 年 歷 史 的 德 國 方 舟 模 型 ， 動 物 及 船 隻 的 顏 色 都 充 滿 印 度 色 彩 。
馬 灣 公 園 有 限 公 司 總 經 理 劉 志 遠 表 示 ， 方 舟 由 15,000 塊 以 玻 璃 纖 維 混 合 石 屎 的 特 製 材 料 砌 成 ， 並 以 人 手 製 造 形 狀 及 挑 紋 ； 花 園 內 68 對 動 物 雕 塑 模 型 大 部 份 都 是 侏 儒 河 馬 及 非 洲 斑 馬 等 瀕 危 動 物 。 跨 越 奇 園 則 有 樓 高 3 層 的 巨 型 鞦 韆 及 高 空 繩 索 等 玩 意 ， 臨 海 餐 廳 可 盡 覽 青 馬 及 汀 九 橋 的 景 色 。 多 媒 體 博 覽 館 的 180 度 環 迴 影 院 、 4D 立 體 影 院 及 挪 亞 度 假 酒 店 等 設 施 都 會 如 期 本 年 底 落 成 。 暫 時 未 決 定 入 場 門 票 及 各 項 設 施 收 費 ， 預 計 明 年 初 邀 請 旅 遊 業 等 機 構 參 觀 後 才 有 定 案 ， 並 於 明 年 首 季 開 放 予 公 眾 。
當 年 新 地 獲 政 府 批 准 發 展 珀 麗 灣 後 ， 曾 承 諾 06 年 6 月 完 成 馬 灣 公 園 第 一 期 的 「 大 自 然 公 園 」 、 「 挪 亞 方 舟 」 及 「 太 陽 館 」 三 項 設 施 。 但 只 有 「 大 自 然 公 園 」 去 年 開 放 ， 「 挪 亞 方 舟 」 又 延 至 明 年 初 ， 「 太 陽 館 」 及 第 二 期 工 程 更 未 有 確 實 落 成 日 期 。



議 員 促 要 求 新 地 賠 償
劉 志 遠 表 示 ， 新 地 完 成 第 一 期 設 施 後 會 向 政 府 歸 還 工 程 餘 款 連 利 息 。 新 地 發 言 人 補 充 ， 公 司 代 表 出 席 立 法 會 會 議 時 已 表 明 「 挪 亞 方 舟 」 會 於 年 底 「 落 成 」 ， 邀 請 業 界 先 作 參 觀 再 開 放 予 公 眾 是 要 吸 取 意 見 以 便 日 後 運 作 。
立 法 會 議 員 李 永 達 對 開 幕 日 期 一 拖 再 拖 感 到 失 望 ， 認 為 政 府 應 要 求 新 地 賠 償 ， 「 落 成 咪 等 於 開 幕 ， 之 前 同 新 地 見 過 面 都 係 講 12 月 搞 掂 。 」 李 華 明 則 認 為 政 府 應 將 有 問 題 的 發 展 商 列 入 黑 名 單 ， 並 加 強 協 議 條 款 內 的 規 管 罰 則 。

This seems really pointless and out of place, especially with the exhibitions they have inside it. Second floor is about human life, 3rd about saving the earth? Top floor a hotel? None of these things have anything to do with Noak's Ark or the Bible. This is another poorly thought out boring gimmic. Very mainland.

The only good thing about this it shows a lil religious diversity.

I'd enjoy the waterfront promenade though!

This project is very random.. =_= But I suppose that it can cater to the people living on Park Island.... The only thing that makes me confused is the Noah's Arc. If they built a beautiful glass buildng, that's much more simple..... Theme Park? I rather have a regular park then!!!

Two billionaires have created an odd tribute to Noah in Hong Kong's Ma Wan Park

WHEN the serious rains come, that end-of-days flood you may have heard about, the question won't be, ``Will I get on Noah's Ark?''. It will be, ``Quick, where is it?'' In this, I can help.

Improbably, Noah's Ark is in Hong Kong and if you've been there, you probably drove over the top of it on your way to or from the international airport. An actual-size replica of the ark, based on the biblical proportions -- an impressive 135m long and 13.5m high -- is under the flyover that soars above Ma Wan Island between Lantau and the central city. Perhaps appropriately, it isn't far from Hong Kong Disneyland.

The huge ark cum museum cum gift shop (with pretty gardens and the ark looking as if it has been washed ashore on the nearby beach) at Ma Wan Park is quite a sight.

It soars up to the Tsing Ma Bridge and dominates the view from the nearby Noah's Resort, a swanky new property with a seaside cafe.

This windowless wooden replica of something that may or may not have existed certainly makes me feel small, particularly when I amble through the adjacent Noah's Garden to look at pairs of tigers and other exotic animals (fibreglass replicas, unfortunately).

The Chinese ark is a strange one by any measure. The brainchild of Christian billionaires, the Kwok bothers of the real estate investment company Sun Hung Kai Properties, it opened in May with the heavily promoted concepts of family values and faith.

It is an impressive physical achievement although a sceptic may reasonably ask serious questions, such as what's with the hi-tech display showing Noah's diary? Who knew he kept one?

The story of Noah and the flood is offered as fact with a veneer of archeological justification. The displays answer those questions that may have been troubling you. Such as, how long were they on board? Three hundred and seventy-one days. How many ravens were there? Seven different pairs.

How such diverse animals co-existed goes unexplained, but you do get to interactively feed some computer-generated animals. There is some truly kitsch stuff, too: a whole gallery with small and rather ugly models of arks from various countries, arks in snowdomes and ceramic teapot arks decorated with animals (but only the cute ones, such as pandas, giraffes and cats; I don't recall seeing any nasty warthogs, hyenas or buzzards).

The story of Noah is told in a lavish video (everyone is Chinese, of course, including the guy with a long white beard who looks as if he's been beamed in from a Cantonese historic epic) and the floor actually shakes and the wind blows at the appropriate moments. The children in the audience love it. So do I, but perhaps for different reasons.

There is a widely dispersed flotilla of Noah's Arks, apparently: at a Creation Museum in Kentucky, one in Los Angeles and another in Israel. But this Hong Kong model, given its size, is just like the real thing and has an overlying message of conservation, the destruction of species and the dangers of climate change.

The corollary is the blurring between myth and science, belief and scientific fact.

You can be cynical about Noah's Ark (and I am) but still admire the sheer gall of it. And if it looks like raining for 40 days with no sign of letting up, then I'm on the first plane to Hong Kong.
