hm... i don't like it. looks not so good to me. although soem places are nice. next week i'm going to Helsinki so i can see the city on my own. maybe i'll change my mind.

those blocks could be prety nice (if blocks can be nice at all) if there were some light – new paint on the walls, light-coloured. It’ll be fine with some water, trees, and boats. But they are f*** grey. I know everywere we can find this kind of architecture, but i still don’t like it

Ok, everything you didn´t like is located outside downtown :) But Helsinki is everything but empty, the whole city centre is bustling with life but the suburbs are more empty and quiet.

i'm back. as i said i should make my own meaning watching the city on my eyes. so, i was in Helsinki last week, just returned from there.
u were right. the downtown is pretty nice. i like Helsinki centre.

I'm very positively surprised by the contrasts (very urban parts, but still some lakes, a waterfall, forest !!!) and I didn't know some parts of the centre are so hilly!

Well, actually, they aren't. Only in bilingual cities, like Helsinki, Turku, Vaasa and so on..

Finland has 431 municipalities, and 44 of them are bilingual. (19 municipalities are unilingually Swedish; 16 of them are located in Åland..)
