Utica isn't a bad town. I had to go do some work there back in April and was surprised to see some good solid neighborhoods and some decent sized mid/high rises downtown. The area of the city I was in was a Russian enclave...all the signs for stores were in Russian and everyone had a Russian accent.

I know exactly the store youre talking about. I went there in HS with my Bosnian friend, I cant remember what its called though. R something, but yeah, its Bosnian. You get Russians but not theyre not nearly as influential as the Bosnians.

I thought Utica had a decent skyline for a city of 68,000 people. Too bad the economy in that city's a little sour right now. I think the city's got potential, right on the Thruway between Syracuse and Albany, lot of nice buildings downtown and very historic looking, too!

I like Utica, more than Albany but less than Binghamton.
