Are there any proposals for LA?

Oh hell no........... LA does not need no special toll roads. We pay too many damm taxes as it is to service and extend our current ones. It just does not make sense to pay to up keep and expand then pay to use them. As a daily "Freeway" user I give this idea 2 thumbs down!!!!!!

Oh please explain how building elevated highways and then charging a toll charge is going to help since funding is a major factor in LA?

Wasting money on elevated portions of highway the majority of people aren't going to use seems awful silly, especially when coupled with the huge design challenges of only having the elevated part of the highway tolled. It would either go from one entrance to one exit or have to drop down for toll collection costing a lot more and causing a lot of homes to be destroyed in the process.

I really don't know, I'm just thinking out loud here, but my point is it'll probably never happen here, especially with Villaraigosa at the helm with his support for public transporation.

Subways, Light Rail, Bus Rapid Transit eventhough I'm not that big a fan of the latter we cannot deny the success of the Orange Line. The Freeway Building Project is over. Maintenance and adding specific HOV lanes to the freeways is all that should be invested. Now is the era of rapid transit for LA county, finally.
