What do you think of the 2 new international airports in Iraqi Kurdistan?

Erbil Intl. Airport (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erbil_International_Airport) constructed in 2004, opened in 2005. Erbil is the regional capital.

The future plans look good! Are there a lot of Kurds in Stockholm? Both airlines fly there.

Well, the only source for this kind of information is the government of Iraqi Kurdistan. According to this (http://www.ekurd.net/mismas/articles/misc2006/4/independentstate698.htm) news message: "The new and larger airport is scheduled to be completed in 2007." Let's hope it's true. I got those pics from the website of the KRG.

samsonyuen, yes there are a lot of Kurds (especially Iraqi Kurds) in Sweden.

Iraqi Kurdistan's population is around 6 million. Right now, the federal province of Kurdistan has more airlines than Iraq itself. Wish us good luck :)
