What's the housing project I see being built.

^^ It's Single family homes. It would be nice to get some more photos of that particular neighborhood. Both properties to the left and right are being worked on, the garden beams are in place, the balcony is looking good. I could imagine how that hood would look like when it's finished.

i want to revive this thread because frankly, i have never seen many african cities like this and i am just delighted to see africa in a new angle. i expected a lot worse but usually, my expectations were beaten, i hope NIger becomes wealthier soon, I hear it has one of the lowest HDI's in the world :(

i love this city it reminds me of my home town KITUI, KENYA as in very hot not a whole lot of greenery and pple just like to take it easy.

Niger seems far better than Central African Republic. However, the latter presents more potential for further development and infrastructural improvement.

Niamey is a great city indeed.

I love this city, the architecture is excellent! at the moment, all it needs is a a few more high rise building like about 10-15 floors^^ but the architecture of the current buildings is impressive :)

Well, what did you expect? It's the capital of the poorest country in the world. With the oil coming in though, development is starting to take place.
