In my opinion anyway israels army were very poorly commanded and didn't know what the hell they were doing ,not givin proper food supplys and this is an absolutely perfetic response for a country fighting for there lives. You need to do better than that i mean come on you had an air commander incharge that is not the cleverest solution of driving out hezbollah you've just increased the hate.

I believe that Israel did an ok job in S.Lebanon. They managed to capture soldiers, capture weapons, drive Hizballah to behind the Litani river, and force Hizballah to allow the Lebanese army to take control of southern Lebanon. However i was hoping they would destroy Hizballah completely so that both the Israelis and the Lebanese can live in peace.

youre barging into an open door, and I think this war was a sort of a miracle for israel because it opened our eyes to the degree of the threat and to problems and scandals that we can now demand to be fixed.
btw, I dont see the us or british forces doing much better facing a much much less of an organized weaponized army in iraq and afganistan..
anyway, I hope this govt. resigns, for so many reasons.

Mossad(intelligence) and IDF leadership was poor. They knew that the militants had anti merkava tank missiles and still insisted on using them in the fighting among other errors...

The IDF should have used small groups of specialised troops making surgically accurate missions to deal with the militants. Anything that has to do with mass scale invasion or bombardement cannot do and didnt do anything to Hezbollah. The troops were poorely trained for urban warfare.

One more thing is that Mossad really messed up with inaccurate information and the failure to find designs, maps and blueprints for the tunnels used by the militants which helped them escape bombardement and sneak behind IDF troops.

The latest conflict was a war that surely the IDF did not win but it still didnt loose because it managed to drive militants north of the Litani river, do severe infrastructure damage and managed for the first time to make Nazrallah fail to keep his promise of sending missiles to Tel Aviv during the warfare.

Can this discussion be considered political or a highly sensitive? I believe it would be wise to lock this one.

anyway, looking at how pathetic hizballa looks right now dancing on their rubble, I wish us only "defeats" like this one.
