hey their if anybody can help me this would be fantastic.
i work in debenhams for a consession in the store and just happend to be talkin to one of the other members of staff that work in the store and found out that thier is a huge ballroom on the sixth floor of the buildin which non of the staff can get to well they can but the whole sixth floor is alarmed. i have been told that it hasnt been in use for about 60 to 70 years also it is supose to still house all the original fixtures and fittings, this got me to wondering about the whole building due to there being so many rooms and so on not in use an looking as if their something out of the 1920's. so i started to see if i could find any information on the world wide web some use this turned out to be cause i couldn't find out much about the building other than it was originally designed by Harry.s. Fairhurst and it was built as a memorial to john ryland hence the name of the buliding being the rylands building. also i saw that it was built between 1929 and 1932. but this is the only info i can find

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if any body has any more info or can tell me a little bit more or were i can find it this would be much apreciated also it would be great if i can get to see a picture of the ballroom or any kind of pictures of the old building in any way shape or form please give as much info as u can as it would be a great help to me and my collegue at debenahms manchester.

thank you
