Does anybody know how many floors it actually has? I've read somewhere that the blue glass section is not made up of floors at all, and it is merely a clever deception. However. I remember writing off for an information pack on the tower when I was a kid, and which included a drawing of the building showing the internal skeleton. Using that I counted 38 floors, but I have come accross various different figures quoted from sites on the internet, ranging from 34 to 43 in one case.

Can anyone supply any official data or even submit a copy of the said skeletal drawing? I would also like to know why it is not officially classed as a high rise building, even though it does support floors all the way up (at least according to the drawing mentioned previously). Any information whatsoever would be much appreciated. Cheers -Pete.

peter... the figures on skyscrapernews are 100% accurate. i had a nice long discussion with the head of heritage at bt (they actually have a company historian) who told me all about the tower and confirmed everything on the page was correct.
