I'm undecided between Arnold and Art Olivier, but I'll vote for Art.

well, I'm no longer a California resident but if I was, I personally wouldn't be too excited about this race. Arnold is very unpopular, I'm not particularly crazy about Angelides...it would be a very tough call for me but I would probably stick with Arnold for lack of better opposing candidates. I voted for many of his propositions in 2004, I particularly liked the redistricting plan. I was pissed/surprised that it was voted down.

I want Angelides to win but he's such a stiff log compared to the charismatic Arnold. Arnold will probably get reelected, especially now that he's signing all kinds of laws to appease liberal California this election year. It positions him really well.

Angelides makes it no secret that he'll raise taxes on the rich and lower the ones for small businesses which is very good imo, but he's just not that "cool". Westly would have stood a better chance.

Arnold has rebounded lately though. Id be surprised if he wasn't reelected.

^Me too. i personally like Arnold and i think he's done a fine job. One thing though, i wsh the Bond package this election was twice as big and a bigger chunk going to intercity rail. we should have had enough funds to pay for Expo phase two (Culver to Santa Monica), Purple Line extension (All the way down wilshire to Santa Monica), Downtown Connector (connects three LRT lines in DTLA, very important) and a 405 Line (Valley To LAX, connecting with Purple line in Westwood by UCLA and with EXPO before it conencts with the Green Line at LAX, which will be extended with LAX modernization).

Im a liberal democrat but Im voting to re-elect Arnold. I do feel that the humiliation he went thru when all of his propositions failed in Nov.(as they should have) has taught him a lesson about working together with the opposition.

Also, Angelides and Westley's mudslinging turned me off to both of them.

^^You mean dropping the people who elected him into office and running with the left of the state?

"working together with the opposition" ...pshh.

But to each his own. :)

He tried the "take no prisoners" attitude that his initial supporters expected and it failed miserably-no? I mean come on. Attacking Teachers, Nurses, Firefighters and Cops. Not too smart and even if that wasnt his intention-that's exactly how it came across to voters. And it blew up in his face last November.

Now he's learned that you dont get things done that way. I certainly hope the joinarnold people can understand that-if not, the next years are going to be very tough on them. LOL

Sorry, but if not for the democrats and moderates being star-struck and knowing his relatively moderate stances, he wouldnt be in office. Relying solely on conservatives to win a statewide election in this state will get you nowhere. Maybe in the 80s, but not today.

Exactly. NeoCons alone arent enough to win a statewide election in California.

Hey, how about a couple of transit dollars for the rest of the State? :)

Angelides. Even thow his chances are about -10. Just to spite the Governator though.

I think Arnold is making a change. I'll look into it more before election time, but as things stand right now, he's really working for the people.

I'm sooo excited yet so confused.

I'm a first time-voter (it's my first time, guys. My first time! :D) and I'm a Democrat. However, Angelides just doesn't convience me. I think Arnold would do a better job if he gets re-elected... but I still don't know.

I ain't voting for the Governator but I also don't like Angelides either. I like Arnold's movies, but I can never take him seriously as a governor. I'd rather see Arnold rehearse his lines, and not sign line-item vetos. I have a feeling the Schwarzenegger campagin secretly contributed money to the Angelides campaign during the primary just so the lamest Democrat (let's face it, Phil IS a lame as you can get) can win just so Arnold can easily defeat him in November.

I'm gonna vote for the other offices and measures, I'll leave the Governor box blank, I'll never be happy with whoever wins anyway.
