Well the following is a compilation of photos taken by me on my one day trip to the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv on July 29th, 2006. Apart from arriving tired, carrying a 2 kilogram bookbag, and basking in the hot sun, my trip was pleasant. Kyiv is a grand and dynamic city. It has many sides to it, depending in which neighborhood you are currently in. I was glad to see a lot of construction going on, really wild stuff, stupid political demonstrators and just plain Kyivans. So without further bullshit, here is Kyiv:
