Do you have the GoogleEarth coordinates for this town ? I can't seem to find it. So, the Almoravids originated from Azougui in the Adrar Plateau of what is now modern Mauritania correct ? I know ancient MaurEtania was located in the north of Morocco and west of Algeria, not to be confused with modern MaurItania. We should make a post of it (Tidra), hmmmm ? :cheers: Redalinho May 2nd, 2007, 01:27 PM Well from Dakhla to the border the road is in a good state there is no road anymore, only several pistes and it seems you need to know which one to take or to have a guide to avoid the mines which must be lying around somewhere. But last year they inaugurated the Transaharian road ( Tangier to Dakar), so I don't how it is today. But actually the best way to go there is to take a plane from Casablanca to Nouakchoot, then Banc d'Arguin where are few hotels for this moments, but i'm sure that thank's to the transaharian road,
