Fantastic project. It seems a bit shitty that people dont reply to regional cities like this because to them 150m is equivelent to a 300m skyscraper to Los Angeles.

Its good to see the smaller cities of Spain are building up also.

Good to see things like this in Bilbao. I was there this summer and was impressed with the Guggenheim, but I thought the city itself was rather dull and boring. Hopefully this can help turn things around.

There is also another tower ("Iberdrola Tower" this one an office tower of 165m) in Bilbao approved and that is going to start being built in few months, near Guggenheim museum.

xtrange.. coz I get very impressed every time I get back or just watching the threads about the city.. never mind, everyone gets another pic of the different cities depending of several subjective matters..

You are really lucky. Its a great design that suits expectionally well with the green nature around the city and in the background. Credits for the greenery inside the tower. Ive imagined skyscraperdesigns like this which would give cities a "green, closer to nature look".

Even a bit ahead of the pack on that one, Spain is. They even get crazy with the mid-rises over there.

I saw the italian architect of Scotland parliament saying that presently Spain is the top country in Architecture presently.

Kenneth Frampton report about Madrid's ETSA (School of architecture)

"La formación de arquitectos en España tal vez sea hoy día la mejor del mundo y mientras que esto obedece en parte a la forma en la que está organizada aquí la profesión y al extraordinario fomento de clientes españoles, también se debe con seguridad a la categoría de la enseñanza de la arquitectura en España. Si bien me consta que la enseñanza y práctica no son ni mucho menos lo mismo, ha habido en España una íntima correspondencia entre ambas..."

"Architecture training in Spain is maybe the best of the world nowadays...."

Names like : Moneo, Calatrava, Bofill, Lamela....

Spain is really booming at the moment. It's good to see that also cities outside of Madrid and Barcelona get new skyscrapers.

There are a lot of tower projects next to Bilbao river: Isozaki Atea, Iberdrola Tower, Sefanitro Towers, Pormetxeta Tower... and maybe in the future BBK Tower too at Zorrozaurre new island-neighbourhood.

Bilbao's first highrise (1946) was built near the river too, known as "the highrise of Bailen street":

This was scalled down some time ago. The current project (if it's ever built) will include a 126 metre tower:
