Quand on voit la taille de la tour Eiffel en haut à droite de la photo, on se dit que cette ville est immense !!!!!!!!

Stedelijker kan gewoon niet. In Antwerpen ken ik nu wel overal mijn weg, maar als ik heel mijn leven in Parijs zou gewoond hebben zou ik nog niet gans de agglomeratie kennen denk ik...

Nee, Parijs is echt fantastisch qua monumentaliteit, grootsheid (en toch gezellige hoekjes), stedelijkheid (die metro, die lanen, périphérique...),...
zeker in mijn wereldtop3 !!!

Parijs lijkt erg op Brussel, maar dan groter.

Schitterende foto's Snor.
La Défense toont wat Brussel-noord mist. Een veel grotere diversiteit in vormen en hoogtes. Ondanks de pogingen van de laatste jaren om hierin verandering te brengen, geeft l' Espace Nord nog steeds de indruk van egale blokken.
Aan de ander kant is Parijs een peperdure stad, zowel om er te wonen als om de stad te bezoeken.
Brussel blijft daarom, en ook vanwege de kleinere schaal, stukken leefbaarder dan Parijs.

Zalige foto's. Maandag ga ik voor de eerste keer naar Parijs, en die foto's doen me al echt watertanden.

Is La Defense niet erg uitgestorven s'avonds? Mooie foto's hoor, sommige had ik al ergens anders een keer gezien.(die verticale scroll-foto's)

Mooi, Parijs is geweldig en de foto's geslaagd!

Gave stad. Een stad zoals een grootstad hoort te zijn: drukte, schoonheid, dichtheid...
Jammer van de hoge prijzen daar. Voor ons duur om een pint op een terras te drinken, voor de Parisiens duur om te wonen.
Voor de rest, mooie foto's!

Mijn favoriete stad! Reeds meerdere malen geweest, als ik kon zou ik terug vertrekken. Mooie foto's Spotter!

Het is en blijft de mooiste stad ter wereld. Punt. :)

Ja, deze stad is echt bruut. Zoveel verschillende stijlen, zo mooi en super groot. Deze stad is echt van alle markten thuis. Met Google Earth kan je ook goed zien hoe groot alles is.

Sublieme stad. Immens groot en bloedmooi. En duur, hehe.

In Parijs begrijpt men ten minste dat men het historische centrum moet bewaren en dat men hoogbouw moet concentreren buiten de ring.

Jammer van het felle licht, maar wel een ronduit fantastisch 360° panorama.

Ja, het licht is idd niet zo mooi. Maar het was niet bedoeld als panorama, dus er zat nogal veel tijd tussen de verschillende foto's. Maar je krijgt toch wel een beetje een impressie van Parijs.

Benelux is inderdaad nogal klein vergeleken met dit. Zal ook altijd zo blijven...

Echt een mooie stad. Heel veel hoge appartementsblokken.

Voor € 9,50 sta je in 36sec op de 56ste étage dan nog een hoop treden om op het dak te komen (210m of zoiets).
Montparnasse ligt ideaal om de stad te bekijken + ik ga geen uren in de rij wachten om op de Tour Eiffel te komen én vanuit la Gare du Nord rechtstreeks met Métro 4 te bereiken.
Op het 56ste heb je een mooie fotomuur over het Paris van destijds én de bouw van de toren, de gids die je beneden kunt aanschaffen is zéér interessant

mooie reeks van Tweety:

Begin november was ik een paar dagen in Parijs. Het grootste deel van de tijd was het zwaar bewolkt, maar toen we de Eiffeltoren beklommen (jawel, dat kan ook), was het prachtig helder weer. Onderstaande foto's zijn het resultaat. Aan het eind vind je ook nog wat foto's vanaf de Grand Arche in La Défense.

Op naar de volgende statie: het Centre Pompidou!

1. Eerst door een soort "tunnel":

2. Het Centre Pomidou, gebouwd in opdracht van president Pompidou, bevindt zich in de wijk Beaubourg en werd geopend in 1977. De meningen over dit gebouw waren altijd heel verdeeld. De ene vond het prachtig, de andere vond het afschuwelijk. Het gebouw heeft nu nog bij de Parisiens de bijnaam "de Olieraffinaderij".

3. Op het plein voor dit gebouw wordt vaak straattheater en -animatie gebracht.

4. In dit gebouw is één van de belangrijkste musea voor moderne kunst ter wereld gevestigd.

Deel 5 - Nieuwe dag, nieuwe energie, nieuwe foto's! (24 april)

1. We bezoeken eerst de Dôme des Invalides, deze in 1677 gebouwde kerk hoort bij het Hôtel des Invalides, dat diende om gewonde soldaten van het front op te vangen.

2. In 1989 werd des koepel en bijbehorende versieringen opnieuw verguld. Hiervoor was 12 kilo goud nodig!
3. Hier kun je al een stukje Eiffeltoren zien:).

6. Het graf van Napoleon. Om dan te bedenken dat het maar een piepklein mannetje was. De grootheidswaanzin ging door tot na zijn dood:). (dat waas aan de onderkant komt doordat ik hem op een rand heb moeten zetten om de foto schep te krijgen)
