This tower will be pretty BIG when finished. It's already wide, and 196m tall isn't particularly short!

man it's taller than the 44 west bay tower by 16 m and regard the location ,it's some where in the west bay.
@ susan: sorry i have no idea when the construction will start and finish.

I guess i will just fast foward 4 years....qatar will be a totally new cool place to be in with all these psyched designs...

Anybody have any more info? I am in love with this tower and I want it built as soon as possible!

Its somewhere in between. Its been approved but not yet under construction. Its not even announced.

What are the main contractors fighting in thias project ?.

Unique & Simple ( the designer deal with the twin as one strong mass )

That's the thing that I like, its one strong mass--yet it can be defined as two separate entities. Also, if you compare floor or office space--you would see that it is almost as having two 30 or two 40 storied buildings of equal height. Instead, the architect choose to make the whole project into two separate buildings.

From the reflection ... I can see Ministry of Education tower and Al Salam building ....

I doubt that will be the location very much... the reflections don't mean anything, they are probably just there for effect.

The reason I doubt it is that The Gate is being built, and it will be part of Al Salam... the site you pointed out will probably be for the Gate, and even if it wasn't, it would be pretty senseless to put two huge eye catching buildings right behind each other - you wouldn't even be able to the the Samiriyah towers!

Sometimes such problems happens (maybe that's why it was delayed :) ) ...

That is exactly right, the reflection on the render itself will not mean anything, several renders for towers in doha have shown to be in areas of much grass and trees when they are merely in West Bay.

That building is huge.
And that area is also huge. I'm 70% confident that it will be there.

Fantastic design. I really hope it gets build.
