(750m, 20km from Beirut)

Broummana lies between Beit Mery and Baabdat at an ideal spot to catch the breeze and has a pleasant climate all through summer. Its pine trees further add to its charm, making walks in the hillside pleasant and relaxing. Overlooking the Mediterranean, Broummana also offers a spectacular view of Beirut.

Since the establishment of Broummana High School in 1876 by the Quakers, Broummana gradually gained international fame over the years. In 1889, Thomas little, principle of Broummana High School built the first tennis field in the country.

Today, Broummana becomes quite active in the summer time heaving with hotels, restaurants, cafes and nightlife. During the July-September period and at the weekends, the town can be exceptionally crowded. Out of season, the town is quieter.

^^ I know, we had so much fun, especially at the superstar concert because we actually got the chance to experience the village center at night. I really loved the area though...

When I switch to the Promenade des Pins thread you referenced, LeB.Fr, I get a 'bandwidth exceeded' message from Photobucket. Is it just me?
