QIIB to finance City Tower project

I am pretty sure I saw a rendering of this tower somewhere. If there already a thread here please correct me :)

Cost: 180 million QR
Financial: QIIB
Height: 32 floors
Parking Space: ONLY 550 cars
Owner: Saeed bin Zayed Al Khayareen
Start: 2006
End: 24 months (2008)

doha • The Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) is to finance the construction of City Tower in the West Bay area at the cost of QR180m.

Abdul Basit Ahmed Al Sheibei, CEO of QIIB on Tuesday signed an agreement with the owner of the tower Saeed bin Zayed Al Khayareen.

The City Tower project was designed by the Arab Consulting Engineers 'Moharram-Bakhoum' and the construction will be carried out by Al Huda Engineering Company.

The construction of the tower is expected to be completed in approximately 24 months. Also present at the signing ceremony were Engineer Mamdooh Ahmed Radhwan, General Manager of Al Huda Engineering Company, Jamal Al Jamal, Assistant GM for Personal Banking Services at QIIB.

The 32-floor tower will be built on a total site area of 5,272 square meters overlooking City Centre in Al Dafna's Tower district. It will consist of 32 typical floors with open space and offices, a total rentable area of 27,500 square metres, a total built up area of 51,000 square meters and a car park to accommodate over 550 cars.

Speaking on the occasion Al Sheibei said that the financing of the project is in tune with QIIB commitment to participate actively in the enormous urban development taking place in the country.

He added that this is also part of the bank's dedication to assist the private sector, establishments, companies and individuals by providing financing for real estate projects to cope with the Qatari economic boom.

You did see this tower somewhere, the project board is right next to Dana Tower, it's been there for more than a year now!! That's weird! They put the board before getting the financing? That's optimistic!!! :)

u know.... i was sick about it taking all that time.... but the client kept changing a lot and it kept having more details in it..... the design now might not be really modern and new but when we talk about investment, it has really respectable rented areas, parking, and other really good in it.... maybe the 4 years were worth a while....
when designs were made for this tower, there were really few towers in the neighbour..... now when i visit the site, i find it still down there..... they need to move faster...!!!

everyone is moving really very fast all of a sudden, do u guys feel that?
