Zorg guessed right: These are the four towers of WUHAN TIMES SQUARE located at the Hankou Yangtze riverside. Here is a google-earth shot where I marked the buildings...

It is a part of Wuchang. The lake u see there behind the Changjiang is called Shahu ( 沙湖 / sand lake). Again a google earth shot to give u an idea where the depicted area can be found:

I wonder what takes them so fucking long? Minsheng Yinhang was already topped out when I arrived in Wuhan in summer 2005. Now the big crane is still there and they are still busy with the glass. During the same time another big construction project of Wuhan managed to build up all four towers of Wuhan Times Square out of nowhere and topped out either. weird...

any updates? been2 months

at first i didnt like this building but the pic showing it in the skyline completely changed my mind.

The Minsheng Bank Building would have been completed as of December 2007.

I got a closer look the other night, the lobby is still bare concrete inside. No sign of any tools on site, no security guards, nothing. I was tempted to bust open the door and climb the stairs to the top! From what the locals said the developer is still having problems for funding this project. Hard to beleive since it is the Minsheng BANK building. You would think at this point the best way to solve money issues would be to finish so you can start leasing offices?? Maybe it's just me...
