Description of Project

Located in Verdun Street, one of Lebanon's leading shopping destinations with its upmarket fashion shops, restaurants and cafés, and banks, this multi-functional residential complex meets the demand for quality new buildings and prestigious accommodation in this area.

The main tower is elegantly curved to offer its residents a range of views across the city; the building houses luxurious residences over 22 floors, with roof-top swimming pool and facilities. A smaller building, opposite the Bristol Hotel, offers high standard furnished apartments fitted with state-of-the-art equipment. The smaller tower is also 22 storey high. Ample car parking facilities are offered in two underground levels.

The frontage on the two adjoining main street is exploited by a two-floor shopping arcade, maintaining an exclusive image that is bound to reflect on the project itself.

The rendering posted by Hassoun is said to be the "winning entry" of the design competition.

How did that win???

Hassoun
June 2nd, 2007, 05:18 AM
^^Well, that one is not bad too, with that spire up there,it looks fantastic, maybe it's the quality of the renders that made the difference in favour for the one posted by AmeriLEB,i like his more BTW.
Does Winning entry means it's the Final one?i'm talking about the word "entry"

Nadini
December 30th, 2007, 12:51 PM
Well unfortunately I just realized that, according to Hassoun's post, that that render is the winning entry of the competition. How did that win???

Thanks to Rezam, we can confirm that the one that will be built is the one that looks like the vegas style (the curved one) and not the renders Hassoun posted

I really like how the exterior forms a pattern, this area of Beirut has always looked amazing. This is a really great project.

But this is an amazing project. I'm really curious though, with all these really nice and seemingly expensive apartments coming up, and most Lebanese people aren't loaded who is going to be occupying these apartments? something to wonder about I guess.

Beiruti
August 21st, 2008, 12:30 PM
As for who is buying these apartments, it is mostly Lebanese ex-pats and Gulf Arabs. Real Estate prices are rising rapidly due to the high demand.

How come in the photos there's no place that's reserved for landscaping?...
The renderings show a lot of landscaping..

allobeirut
August 26th, 2008, 01:09 AM
they're most likely building a parking structure underneath the landscape. i have no clue, i'm doubting they'll build on all of that land although i wouldnt be surprised

As much as I prefer the original renderings, these are more realistic including the surroundings.

I am very excited about this project, it appears to be one of the only tastefully designed ones in this part of Beirut.

Has construction reached above ground yet?
