Description of Project
Located in Verdun Street, one of Lebanon's leading shopping destinations with its upmarket fashion shops, restaurants and cafés, and banks, this multi-functional residential complex meets the demand for quality new buildings and prestigious accommodation in this area.
The main tower is elegantly curved to offer its residents a range of views across the city; the building houses luxurious residences over 22 floors, with roof-top swimming pool and facilities. A smaller building, opposite the Bristol Hotel, offers high standard furnished apartments fitted with state-of-the-art equipment. The smaller tower is also 22 storey high. Ample car parking facilities are offered in two underground levels.
The frontage on the two adjoining main street is exploited by a two-floor shopping arcade, maintaining an exclusive image that is bound to reflect on the project itself.

Beiruti October 19th, 2006, 07:48 AM Which is the final design?
Hassoun October 19th, 2006, 09:01 AM If only they put a banner near the construction area showing the final design!!
anyway,i like both of them :)
Beiruti June 2nd, 2007, 04:23 AM The rendering posted by Hassoun is said to be the "winning entry" of the design competition.
How did that win???
Hassoun June 2nd, 2007, 05:18 AM ^^Well, that one is not bad too, with that spire up there,it looks fantastic, maybe it's the quality of the renders that made the difference in favour for the one posted by AmeriLEB,i like his more BTW.
Does Winning entry means it's the Final one?i'm talking about the word "entry"
Nadini December 30th, 2007, 12:51 PM Well unfortunately I just realized that, according to Hassoun's post, that that render is the winning entry of the competition. How did that win???
Thanks to Rezam, we can confirm that the one that will be built is the one that looks like the vegas style (the curved one) and not the renders Hassoun posted
rezam December 31st, 2007, 12:19 AM thanks kristelle :) they have already started with the construction, the excevation is massive, i was talking to one of the engineers on the project. according to him it will have a shopping mall on the ground floor, the big curved tower will be a hotel, and the smaller curved tower attached to it will be residential...my pic coming soon...
Hassoun December 31st, 2007, 05:15 AM Wow,Can't wait!!!!
Thanx for the info.
But only one floor mall???
rezam December 31st, 2007, 07:19 PM yeah or max 3 floors, like other verdun shopping "malls", they wanna make it luxurious, and the real luxury brands can be counted on 2 hands...also they wanna emphasize more on the hotel and residential development...pic coming soon, happy new year!
Beiruti January 25th, 2008, 12:20 AM thanks kristelle :) they have already started with the construction, the excevation is massive, i was talking to one of the engineers on the project. according to him it will have a shopping mall on the ground floor, the big curved tower will be a hotel, and the smaller curved tower attached to it will be residential...my pic coming soon...
We are still waiting for that pic!!! I'm sure so much has changed since the pics I took way back in 2006...
kheireddine January 25th, 2008, 01:00 AM The Italian school for girls used to occupy that lot from the late 30's to the late 70's, the building got demolished in the early 80's...
rezam January 27th, 2008, 11:24 AM here it is ladies and gents, enjoy!

LeB.Fr January 27th, 2008, 02:55 PM ^^Awesome!!!Thanks a lot for this pic rezam! :)
I'm so happy to see they started construction. And the plot! It's really big!!!
They MUST renovate thos old buildings and that area will look perfect!!!
Hassoun January 27th, 2008, 08:09 PM Rezam, thanx for the pic, when was it taken?? and it seems that the Building will look like the rendering shown in the 1st post. Cool !!!
Beiruti January 27th, 2008, 08:16 PM Thanks rezam, the progress looks like its faced-paced!
Were there any billboards/posters of any renderings, etc. around the walls of the site?
rezam January 27th, 2008, 10:03 PM pic taken on 26 jan 2008, no renderings, plot of land is huge, inchallah we will have stability, Allah yehme lebnan!
Beiruti July 8th, 2008, 06:03 PM I took this pic on Sunday, July 6, 2008:

Hassoun July 8th, 2008, 08:04 PM Were those Cranes working??Rotating and stuff????
rezam July 20th, 2008, 04:02 AM someone needs to take a better closer pic, go stand v. close and take pics, they must have reached ground floor now for sure, if not 1st floor of the mall...
Beiruti July 20th, 2008, 11:31 AM ^^ I took some STUNNING pics the other day from the roof of the Bristol Hotel... I will post them within a couple of days.

CharoogAjram August 20th, 2008, 10:49 PM Wasn't this set to be finished in December? When do you guys think it will be done now? 2009?
rezam August 21st, 2008, 06:05 AM this project should be completed by 2011/2012...
lebnani August 21st, 2008, 07:32 AM I really like how the exterior forms a pattern, this area of Beirut has always looked amazing. This is a really great project.
But this is an amazing project. I'm really curious though, with all these really nice and seemingly expensive apartments coming up, and most Lebanese people aren't loaded who is going to be occupying these apartments? something to wonder about I guess.
Beiruti August 21st, 2008, 12:30 PM As for who is buying these apartments, it is mostly Lebanese ex-pats and Gulf Arabs. Real Estate prices are rising rapidly due to the high demand.
Avito August 25th, 2008, 11:11 PM How come in the photos there's no place that's reserved for landscaping?...
The renderings show a lot of landscaping..
allobeirut August 26th, 2008, 01:09 AM they're most likely building a parking structure underneath the landscape. i have no clue, i'm doubting they'll build on all of that land although i wouldnt be surprised
CharoogAjram September 6th, 2008, 09:53 PM any new pics??
Beiruti September 13th, 2008, 06:25 PM ^^ There is not really that much noticeable change since the pics I posted in July.
houssam January 18th, 2009, 09:56 PM This project's name is "Verdun Gardens"..... yeah i know :ohno:
Beiruti January 18th, 2009, 10:52 PM ^^ Where did you hear this? What is with this trend?
houssam January 18th, 2009, 10:54 PM ^^ I didnt hear it, i saw it on the plot with the renderings which are similar to the ones here but a little different
LeB.Fr February 28th, 2009, 07:16 PM More renders:

Specifications:
2 residential towers of 44 luxury apartments
Suites hotel of 22 floors
3000 m2 of commercial space
CharoogAjram February 28th, 2009, 08:34 PM I like these new renders! It kinda looks like a Vegas hotel in the middle of Lebanon! Hope the construction hurries up.
rezam February 28th, 2009, 09:52 PM its really nice, bravo!
Beiruti March 1st, 2009, 08:08 PM As much as I prefer the original renderings, these are more realistic including the surroundings.
I am very excited about this project, it appears to be one of the only tastefully designed ones in this part of Beirut.
Has construction reached above ground yet?
AmeriLEB June 15th, 2009, 07:28 PM Guys according to the IDAL this is the "Staybridge Suites Hotel" (the smaller building-22 stories)
http://idal.com.lb/uploadedfiles/english+IDAL_NewsLetter.pdf
Beiruti July 6th, 2009, 11:34 PM I took this on July 6, 2009:

Hassoun July 7th, 2009, 01:19 AM ^^ This is now officially Sky bridge hotel :)
nothing above ground level yet ???
Beiruti July 9th, 2009, 11:31 AM ^^ The billboard says "Verdun Gardens" - the hotel is a part of it but not the whole project.
Joe.KL July 11th, 2009, 11:28 PM They reached the 2nd or 3rd floor now..
Beiruti July 23rd, 2009, 06:16 AM I took these pics last week:

MARTYR October 21st, 2009, 06:39 PM i passed by it like 2 weeks ago and the building reached the 7th or 8th floor !!!
Beiruti October 21st, 2009, 10:53 PM ^^ It has almost been two months since that pic was taken. So they are averaging about 1-2 floors per month. Should be topped out by summer!
AmeriLEB October 21st, 2009, 11:19 PM There is a newer update picture from this month on there site..the left building is at 7 stories
Beiruti October 22nd, 2009, 12:05 AM ^^ Thanks.

B-Patriot May 30th, 2011, 06:33 AM Is it topped out yet?
The buildings next to this are desperately in need of a paint-job...!
Beiruti May 31st, 2011, 08:57 PM ^^ Looks like it reached 22 floors.
Forget the paint job, the surrounding buildings should be demolished (several in that neighborhood already have been).
GAJ1992 June 1st, 2011, 12:37 AM i agree with beiruti.. a lot of buildings around beirut need demolishing..
and i forgot, but is there a hotel scheduled to open in there or no?
Hassoun June 1st, 2011, 12:41 AM ^^ Yes,i believe it's called Staybridge suites,Beirut.
