First, a 10-12 story hotel would sit at 2nd and Phillips with patios and a staircase facing the park.

Next, the Fourth Street pedestrian plaza would provide this outdoor setting. The apartment buildings on the north and south sides of the plaza would be joined by glass walkways.

Great photos! Very well composed. It's good to see new development proposed for dwtn Sioux Falls--especially the Uptown along the Falls. I used to visit it often during the late '70s and early-mid '80s when my brother was a city planner there.

Pretty cool pictures. It looks like Sioux Falls is doing pretty well for itself.

Sioux Falls....the next Des Moines... (ie, a booming Midwestern city with a thriving downtown that nobody seems to notice....)

Skate, Killer thread my man. Love that Uptown project. Man I feel old now because the falls was a dump when I was a kid, bums and filth was all that was there then. Heck they didnt put much effort into picking up the broken glass in those days. Lots have change down there, very positive :)

Could you repost this in urban photography? I dont think many people get to see it here. Many guys just hit ssp for the city pics. Those cats love to see new cities and your pictures are phenominal!

Great photos and great looking city. I'm thinking of taking a road trip out West in the Spring or early Summer. Now maybe I'll plan a stop in Sioux Falls. Thanks for showing us this great city!

Under the "Midwest Growth 2000 - 2020" heading, Sioux Falls leads the list of Midwest cities with a near 44% growth rate. What is causing all of the (potential) growth?? Are there a bunch of new businesses starting up there that are causing people to move there like crazy? (If so, what kinds of businesses are they?) Is there a mass immigration from some other country? Is there some type of very high birth rate projections going on? I'm real curious. Looks like a nice city. Great pictures.
