You're right, Patrick! Corporate Ground Zero Plaza (as it is called in SC3000) is a copy of this building.

That is because it was made by the same firm that did Empire State, and done so the next year, it is often called "Little Empire State" and was back in the 30s
It was better when it had the "500" sign on the top of it, but it still remains one of my favourite NYC buildings - to me it was the perfection of the setback design, and among the last, this and Lever House are to me the most important NYC skyscrapers ... this one for letting it known after ESB to keep building tall, and Lever for breaking the "offical" setback law

i would kill to have this one on the riverfront here. this is such an incredible building, the shape and facade are timeless. the base is extremly pedestrian friendly. my only complaint is the tower looks chunky from some areas, and the back looks boring (almost postmodern pic here http://www.emporis.com/en/il/im/?id=116369 ).
but i guess thats how they built them.
