Yup it wasnt bad, telling how our crime rate is falling, and how we are "A city to watch for in the future" cant be a bad thing for the city.

Fox has been highlighting the region all day...begining around 3:00p.m. Shepard is reporting live from the Don Cesar in St. Pete., earliar they were discussing how Tampa's commute is among the worst in the country and how commuters spend on avg. $8k a year on commuting to and from work.

I didn't see it but it's nice that national TV is giving Tampa the title of "A city to watch for in the future." Except for the fact our commute is horrible. :nono: cough::mass transit ::cough

well that and *cough*lack of highways*cough* *cough*outdated roads*cough*. You have to take into account we dont have the best highway system for a metro of our size infact most of our traffic winds up on the main avenues and thats where traffic is the worst. If we had a better connecting highway system like lets say dallas then it wouldnt be as bad.

I tend to blieve that if we had any reasonable transit alternative and sensible zoning patterns, that our highways would do much better....

Fluff, but about as great as a city can get on the national news. Basically, it was a pat on the back for being one of Fox's biggest markets. :-P
