I was looking on Pipers website & found this- Looks like a 25-30 storey tower for Clapham Junction.

I checked out the architects website & theres more images there.

Also theres a 2 tower scheme for Nine Elms ( looks like the old Sainsbury scheme)

Looks really cool! Got excited when saw Clapham Junction because i thought you were gonna say they were going to rebuild the train station (it could really do with it).

Great news - Clapham Junction is my local station. It looks like this would be going along the bottom of St. John's Hill?

Clapham Junction is the busiest station in the country (and possibly in the world) in terms of the number of trains passing through each day (around 2000), and has 16 platforms numbered from 2 to 17.

However busy it is, it cold still do with being rebuilt. Its also an ideal area for talls as there's not much of current architectural merit there.

Although the listed "Grand Theatre" is a great example of Edwardian architecture and would be immediately opposite the planned towers. I think it could be complemented quite nicely.

I believe if you look at the map, the proposal would be on the small bit of land in between the crossroads to the immediate right of the station's shopping centre. The black square on the opposite side of St. John's Hill to the station is "The Grand".

In terms of redevelopment, there are plans for a third exit and ticket office to Grant Road, immediately north of the station - this would help with the East London Line/London Overground extension as well as to ease the chronic overcrowding of today.

It would involve refurbishing the old London, Brighton and South Coast Railway buildings to the south west of the station, creating a footbridge that would span all the platforms and leading to current and new exits - lowering congestion of the subway. In the long-term, there are plans for lift access to the footbridge - although this would be quite expensive, considering the number of platforms.This plan is being formulated by the owners of the South Coast Railway buildings, South West trains, TFL and Wandsworth Council.

In addition, plans exist for creating a new bus station at Grant Road - with access to the ELL.

Anyhoo... Clapham Junction / Battersea is already a sea of tower blocks, probably the densest area of point blocks left in London... Having some high-quality new resi towers will enhance the skyline a lot and make the area almost a bit 'Manhattan'.

More like its on the derelict bit of land between Junction approach and the main train shed. What Clapham Junction needs is a separated juction (flyover) to ease conjestion. I thibk this will be part of the plan fpr the ELL/West London line impovements. Any ideas when the Imperial Whaf station across the river opens?

I think this project sounds wonderful - could be a major boost for the area.

Is someone able to post pics of the Nine Elms scheme?? Whatever happened to this anyway? Did it get cancelled or is it on the back burner??

Nonono you misunderstood my post... I said the the 'Grand ' theatre over the road from the site was more likely located where it says 'Thea' on the map rather than the black building marked (in response to BenL).

Imperial Wharf should open 2007, allegedly. I don't know if any work has started yet... anyone use that line?

What separated junction were you thinking of? The WLL already has flyunders under the other lines rising on the south side facing both east and west. The ELL could run into platform 2 and a re-opened platform 1 using one of these without any conflict with other lines.
