Looks nice without the roof. Why do Joburg achitects always overdesign their buildings, with faux mediterranean elements?

Nope. I think you're thinking of the Emperor, which looks slightly similar to this design.

The Regent is being built in front of the Emperor, if I'm not mistaken.

Yep it is under construction. Very early construction tho, trucks are still coming in and out with dirt

......i posted this photo on the Sandton gallery on November 16th......so, by comparison, these guys are moving very fast indeed..........

A floor a month isn't exactly fast..

....what you see depends on where you stand......i am no "know it all".....but i guess you have to take into account the floor size among other things.....

lol, no need to get heated up over this, BR tend to take things slow. Oh & just to let you know when we put up Ridgeton Towers in Umhlanga, Grinaker took 7 months to put up the 9 storey structure. with each floor in excess of 5000sqm ;)

Ok i will admit the floors are pretty big, not sure the sqm, but u can gather it from the render. Just seems that it has been going up slowly, but im no expert either

We need to start a tread for this 20 West Street South development, as we seem to revisting it more often and it can be a bit confusing having it live in a number of seperate threads. Jakes, Pule, both of you have a couple photos and a bit more infomation surrounding the development......perhaps either of you can do it or I can if you want......

Please do the honour KS but the information that I got is as far as syaing it will be 11 floors residential developed by Baldwin.
