i love it!

Being the first highrise project developed in IBC, it was abandoned in 2001 shortly after completing of groung works. In late 2005 the complex changed it's owner and developer, and construction works resumed this april. Also approx. 20 levels were added and the highrise part was totally redesigned.

I still think it's better than the old project

This tower's pretty cool. The dome at the base is nice as well.

The shape is quite unusual but I like it. Another great addition to Moscow's ever-growing skyline.

This tower has a great design, I think that Moscow is a city that is building more and more skyscraper with wonderful designs, and that's good new for russians.

great set of buildings for Moscow. hopefully some public investment can be put alongside the river.

The desin is pretty stunning. 250 meters is high, but it could be even higher.
This is great news to see Moscow building those new skyscrapers. Maybe I can visit there some time.

Manages to be unusual without being gimicky...I like it.Exactly. If I see 1 more twisting tower proposal or another curvaceous wrap-around tower proposal posted like it is the very first time for us to see them, I'll scream.

Looking forward to the end product of this tower. I'm sure it will live up to the renders.

And so far this tower looks square; I miss indications of the great elliptical design, even though cladding has already started. I really hope not... :sly:Yeah, it looks square at this stage, but in the 1st and 4th pics (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpost.php?p=19360581&postcount=100) look closely at the second column in from the corners on both sides. At each floor level there is a small hotizontal concrete 'insert' which is gradually moving inward at each level as the tower rises. This looks to be the outline of the oval. It's quite subtle, but it's there.

Nice to see that, I didn't realise they are going to install those X bars on the cladding, I thougt it will be part of the glass panels...

Something that catch my attention is that the tower have more than a 50% of advance (or at least, that's what I see from the last pic). Here is very unusual stop a project in that stage.

There are apartments on these floors, they should have openings in the windows according to the standards.

While they all have the glass facades, some of the one's in early construction stages right now will be different colors. Mercury City Tower is copper, and City Hall/Duma will have a red tint. That should give the cluster some variety.

Russia Tower was also to be black.

The core is topped out. The dome is only left. We except the tower to top out by the end of the year.

I accept with information:it was abandoned in 2001 shortly after completing of groung works. In late 2005 the complex changed it's owner and developer, and construction works resumed this april.

right, it was written by me in IBC thread and copied all over the internet. we know it. but "this" mean 2006. that post is outdated now.

im sad to see a skyscrapes inside moscows center....you have a beautiful architecture...dont ruin it.....all cities should follow Paris example with building a skyscrapes city outiside (la defance)...to keep the historical center beautifull...

Both skyscrapes are amazing but don't quite fit i think......
(im from a city where everybody in the past years did everything the could to ruin the neoclassic architecture of Athens, so now my city is a mixture of beautifull buildings from 2000 BC, romantic buildings from 1850s and ungly ones from 1960s)

It's not a center. It's 5km away from Moscow kremlin and about 2km from historical center. Comparing to 7km of La Defence from Louvre. And La Dafence borders with historical center, while Moscow has 2km modern zone. Paris historical center is a lot bigger.

Stunning skyline! Love the small older buildings too. Reminds me kinda of Montreal's skyline except bigger of course

those towers have a massive proportion compared to the old buildings. very nice. they should bury those electric lines though.

The lowrise podium looks very slick. One of the best towers of the IBC.

Amazing Pictures! I like how fat it is!

When I was in Moscow this summer, you couldn't see this one sticking out from the various parts of the city where this cluster is visible...easily one of the most beautiful buildings built there though.
