An undiscovered secret

Overlooking forested dunes midway between the coastal villages of Ballito and Umdloti, The Boulevard on Westbrook Beach offers quiet, exclusive and low stress beachfront living. Situated in a pristine natural setting, the area is also a gateway to the economic hub of the region's future.

Foremost among these is the proposed development of the King Shaka International Airport, making the region an international destination. The construction of which will timorously coincide with the completion of The Boulevard. Locally, the Boulevard is sited within a rapidly growing and sought-after residential property market that will further boost its investment potential.

Restful, simple living

The Boulevard is offering 94 section title apartments within a three-storey structure consisting of one, two and three bedroom options, all under R1m.

Interiors conform to the highest quality specifications. All units offer spacious balconies to take advantage of both climate and setting. The ground floor area boasts a retail component with the potential for a video store, hairdressing salon and other similar opportunities.

The complex also consists of a pool and entertainment area, all connected by broad, landscaped walkways and natural islands of indigenous greenery.

The Boulevard provides the peace of mind that comes with a self-contained setting, state of the art security and lock-up-and-go convenience.

The perfect location

Westbrook's tranquil, village-like surrounds are within 5 minutes of Ballito and its Lifestyle and Ballito Junction centers. Umhlanga and the Gateway shopping centre are 15 minutes away, while the Durban CBD is 30 minutes to the south on the N2. The highly respected Crawford College is within strolling distance and Westbrook beach is but a 2 minute walk away.

Nearby world-class golf courses include Prince's Grant, Beechwood, Mt Edgecombe and Zimbali. Unspoilt swimming beaches and the new Sibaya Casino are also minutes away and compliment the varied mix of commercial, leisure and lifestyle choices and opportunities.

The Boulevard's lush, subtropical surroundings blend with the famed Natal North coast beaches and their many opportunities for diving, surfing, kite boarding, fishing and sailing.

Seems like westbrook is developing a mixed use precinct too...will be good cos there is not much in the way of retail there at present. Except that awesome beach cafe.

^^ I think in time the Westbrook area is going to be fantastic, there has been alot of development in the area with numerous estates and a few highrises on the beach (DB could tell you more on that tho).

This development, coupled with two others in the old town are aiming to redevelop it into a mixed use town along the lines of umhlanga new town. As these 3 are the pioneering developments i do see it being some time before the whole town redevelopment takes off, so it could be a good investment if one entered now and were prepared to wait.

Westbrook is booming. it is only 3km from Zimbali on the Durban side and hence will be close to the new retail and restaurant facilities being developed on the beach there designed for public use.

I have mates that live in Westbrook and they say its very convienet. also it is never overcorwded in holiday periods like umhlanga and ballito, but both of them are mere minutes away.

The land is more tricky than what one would find in Ballito & Umdloti but the its mainly the part on the sea facing side of the high way thats bad, that is where most of the high rises are being built, we just completed Bali Hai & doing Jimbaran (same client as Bali Hai) which is on the other end of the highway, roads are pretty steep, but the area is great & beaches are good.

heres the construction pics from Bali Hai, courtesy of G. Liviero.com

Sunday Tribune proves if price is right it sells

(New Developments) Two major residential developments recently launched and publicised in the Sunday Tribune Property Guide have recorded excellent market take-up.

Marketing agents Prop 2000 for the 94-unit The Boulevard at Westbrook Beach on the north coast report a complete sell-out at last Saturday’s launch with demand spilling over into a waiting list of 60 buyers. Prices started at R505 000 for a one-bedroom unit.

Similar market enthusiasm greeted last weekend’s launch of the 144-unit Lakeridge in Reservoir Hills, where 90 percent of units, or 62,5 percent, were sold by developer JT Ross. Ninetynine percent of sales involved people already residing in the area. Prices in Lakeridge start from R499 000.
